I'm really starting to believe what multiple people said about how it could've been two devs falling out. That the steam version could likely be another dev that was working on A.O.A as well for TLG, Would very much explain why it hasn't been taken down for copyright. It's just weird the absolute radio silence about it, He only says "Do not buy the steam version. That is not me." Not clarifying that it was stolen, just that its not him.

As I've stated before its also scummy coming back just to comment that and not explain to your supporters why you just up and left for a project they devoted money to, Or explain the situation whatsoever. You have a obligation when you're are selling a consumer product for money and promising results. You don't have to spill your personal life to people because of that but you do owe them at least a confirmation and goodbye after they gave you 10's of thousands of dollars. Otherwise you are just running a scam.

And tbh this is a great example why I never support games until they are finished. A lot of Devs don't even have the decency to give a proper explanation on why they abandoned their game, Just takes thousands of peoples money and just leave without an answer. Devs like TLG really really hurt trust in Devs within this community.

"AOA Academy: Christmas" has just become available on Steam:
At this point I hope it does massive sales for whoever is doing it on steam. Either the other half of TLG who worked on the game or some rando. Because clearly the dev doesn't give a shit about their former patreons to just go absolutely radio silent and then ghost them. Only to reappear saying not to buy it on steam, then disappear like a fart in the wind again with zero explanation.

At this point I also wish success to the Steam "dev", since TLG who is here at F95 doesn't even bother to be clear with us about the situation. Not to mention that just saying that he wasn't the one who posted the game on Steam doesn't mean that it isn't legitimate, considering the fact that whoever is posting the games on Steam could have worked with TLG.

Haven't really looked at the whole steam thing but can't it be someone just trying to sell this exact version on steam?

From what I can see on SteamDB for its files, it looks pretty much like the extra Xmas side-game (in terms of filesize), that they released around 2021. The screenshots also looks like something I've played before.
