Well, someone put it on Steam for money, and presumably persuaded Steam that they have the right to do so, but the corresponding user here has posted to say that the Steam version isn't their doing, and the Steam version has been up incomplete for a long time.

One plausible theory is that TLG Games were a co-operation between two or more people, who split, with the Steam uploader and the forum member being on different sides of the divide.

Well, we live in a world where fanfiction can turn into $58mil for the creator and be preferred by many over the original.

This is a game that has some good characterization, but generally bad writing overall. It certainly needed another draft or two to smooth things out. Is that person Eugene? I'm going with no.

I'd also say that since no one has started a successor to this game by now, it's likely no one will.
