I thought the update was wonderful. If the games story is good I usually am not so horny for sex. I'm quite invested in these characters so the slow burn isn't a problem.

I mean in City Of Broken Dreamers I still haven't had sex with a single character. And in Being A DIK the only character I've had any sexual relations with was with Maya in Episode 3. So I get that some of the horn dogs in this thread are a little upset about the slow pace, but I'm quite fine it.

since the start of the game I have loved Jenny and Jenny alone it just gets so hard sometimes when all you want to do is hold her in your arms and kiss her and tell her that you love her


I meant it when I said I don't want to push Jenny to do anything physical

saying they got to kiss Ashley on Ashley's route
and people saying theygot to be intimate with jade on jades route

it's not really about the sex it's about the intimacy I'm not very good at explaining myself hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say

Not to nitpick but there seem to be certain moments where a character laughs that just seem off like it was just not a good time to laugh and it comes off as awkward.

I'm probably in the minority but this update felt pretty meh. Nice character story/development, but all I remember is stuff about Valery, the other parts were just unmemorable. Some of the emotional scenes felt pretty bleh.

I get that the whole genre of VNs is pretty much based on sex and a person's hornyness, but I personally get much more satisfaction from stories rather than the sex scenes that the stories are based on. Playing VNs and not reading why or understanding why the scenes are happening doesn't make any sense to me. I read each and every word of these games all the time no matter how many times I've played them and I've even written about 4 or 5 fanfics based on these games AND the words and the stories.

To each their own of course, but, I just don't get it.

I'm in agreement with you, Mark. I'm more interested in the N part of AVNs than the A. I see them as the logical progression of the Choose Your Own Adventure books I used to enjoy as a kid, only with 18+ rated content. I'm actually working on a Being a DIK fanfic at the moment

I didn't want to speak on this but after playing the beta release this was bothering me as well. Excluding Ashley and maybe Sung Ji the other LIs are dealing with so many mental health issues from their past that feeling any sort of attraction to them feels... wrong.

Well when it comes to Rebecca, I think she's just incredibly shy and seems to be the most stable of Jenny's group. I know she's a talented prodigy and all, but she's such a wonderful character and I would really love to see how and if she does bloom if the MC stays with her and loves her. I'm very tempted to do a run with her as this game grows, especially if I don't like how Ashley's route turns out, which right now is where I'm staying, but that brings to me to alternate LI #2...

...Away from Jenny's group, Aurora I really do like (maybe because I see her as my high-class Jill replacement). I have my MC very friendly with her (studying together, talking to her) and am very curious as to where her route would go to. I know during their conversations he said something about her coming to his small town, seeing the farm and such, it makes me wonder if they would leave school together and do just that, but I doubt it.

I'm really intrigued by Rebecca's & Aurora's routes. I find them to be my top favorites next to Ashley and unless Ash's route is really good and doesn't go to shit, I'll stay with her. If something happens to where Adam gets involved or Jenny, it's going to be really hard in not thinking it's MC/Jill/Tybalt all over again, one of the main reasons why I stopped playing that game (unnecessary drama)

That's pretty cool.

I've done one for Milfy City, Halfway House, Leap of Faith, and Parental Love. Was going to try this one or maybe Avalon next depending on what happens with the Chapter 3 full release update, but also most definitely doing one for Melody too. I don't do Betas since I have modded saves from Scrappy's mod but a lot of what I see in this update will determine if I keep playing it.

That Choose Your Own Adventure reference makes me think of the movie "BIG" where Hank's character is creating a line of computer comics that changes the outcome depending on what you do, as these games very much correlate to.

But yes the "N" part of the games is certainly more important to me than the "A" for sure.

I loved this game, but it is turning into something different, storywise and lewd content wise. It is weird for me that without knowing Jenny she let MC play with her boobs on the first chapter, but now it is difficult to give a kiss? That's weird. On the other side it feels too forced the lack of sexual content. Dev was advancing very well until chapter two, but now, with a lot of content and opportunities is like the dev push too hard to back off. Same with script, story went into another direction. It seems to me dev sold something on the first two chapters different from what we're seing now.

Eventhough, amazing renders, finally dev is the creator and he is free to do what he thinks is best with his work, this is just my opinion as a player. Let's wait and see how this evolves

Like rape and murder for background wasn't enough, the author had to put a whole mafia's plot swallowing all characters. Many characters like Ashley don't fit at all to the subplot, it's like merging Gossip Girl and Criminal minds.

Adam is fucking cartoonish, he just lacks the maniacal laughter to complete all the rich arrogant villain's cliches. It's not like Tybalt who's played for laugh. No we're really supposed to take him seriously but the character is laughable in a bad way.

And for the love of God, just stop with the Haaaaaaa, Smooch every time two characters make out.

Same... I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that anyone familiar with literary elements can see from a mile away this Cartel storyline has no stakes.

Valery is a main LI, she won't be touched and if so it'll be temporary.
The MC is the MC, it's like expecting Naruto to die in a show called Naruto.
Jenny is a main LI, she won't be touched and if so it'll be temporary.
So on and so on...

At most the dev will introduce some new character that they'll quickly build up just to kill them off. This is why I can't do slow burns, they're never written well enough where you can't use occam's razor, chekov's gun, etc. to figure out what comes next with near certainty.

Really good update (outside of the currently lacking Chapter 3 ending), easily the best yet

Especially the small deviations in scenes depending on your path and past interactions is fairly impressive. That eye for detail in minor interactions is fairly uncommon in the usual smut VNs. The dialogues are also much more natural and extensive than what we are used to and the transitions between scenes are among the best I have seen in an Adult VN yet. Minor exceptions are a few overdrawn characters that feel like "plot devices" and less like actual characters - like Adam. But we will see if this gets addressed in the future. And as sad as it is, I guess there might be people like this out there for real.

Also very good music choice that sells the mood and the scenes. Happy this game is going into a more serious direction, if this keeps up I might even recommend it to some people outside the adult space.

Yeah if the main plot is going to go down the rubbish rabbit hole then there's no lure for me to keep playing. I love stories in these types of games, but if that's how this game is going to go story-wise then no thank you. Three chapters in and it already sounds like three different games
