I suppose it's very very hard to create a believable story
It is hard, if the writer is actually trying, but I don't believe HC was, because the story runs on so much porn logic.
There's a very early part in the story where Harry is kissed by Aya. He doesn't immediately resist but does eventually, and then tells Laura about it later. Laura asks him why he told her, and Harry says the words 'If it were you, I'd want to know.'
This supposedly builds Laura's resolve and makes her more determined. So what's her reaction? To make Luca cum more. Her response to this revelation isn't to tell Harry, despite him declaring that's what he would want. Her devised means of retaking control is to make Luca cum more often so she can have more rules.
But this scene also comes after Luca makes Laura cum four times in a row and pass out from squirting. The story falls into the common porn trope that she's basically Luca's from that moment forward, whether she wants to admit it or not, regardless of what she actually says. Her actions reflect that she doesn't care about what Harry wants, despite the early characterisation showing them to be caring and communicative towards each other.
To be clear, porn logic in a porn game isn't a bad thing. It's to be expected, but anyone who thinks that this is good storytelling or good literary writing, outside of the porn scenes, has had their brain warped by way too much time online. The game has some fun scenes, when they're taken in a vacuum, but the story has to twist the characterisation into such knots to make such scenes happen in the first place. That's what happens when you try to marry developed characterisation/story-telling to porn logic.
