One thing I've noted is that getting a scene set in the dark to look right is a challenge. Too bright, and it either looks washed out or like daylight. Too little, and parsing details is strenuous, if the details are even visible.

Personally, I think your images are fine; at least when viewed splashed across a decently-sized screen in a dark room. But I've always been a fan of darkness, so I doubt I'm a fair judge.

Some things you can try:
  • Use cooler, blue tones for night time. Check out

    (Warning, evil website)
  • For most scenes, try additional diffuse lights. For example, a lamp with a shade, so the light we see from it bounced off a wall or piece of furniture. Or, turn on the lights in an adjacent (but out of frame) room.
  • Look for HDRI night skies. IRL, we get a lot of light from all over the sky, even at night. This helps cut down on hard-edged, pitch-black shadows. This will especially help scenes without much foreground lighting.

Right now, I'm using the ghost light toolkit2. I'll adjust the light a little better for 0.3 as most of renders are already done for 0.2. As far as night scenes, I'm using photoshop, I did add a little blue in 0.1 but I can make them a little better. Thanks for the tips. I'll look into them.

0.1 uses 71 images or so for the main story, I'm up to 141 right for 0.2 and I still have the final scene to render out. I'm not sure what a good a balance will be yet but I will find it. 0.1, I just wanted to make sure a bulk of the coding and the interface was done so I can just focus on the story for future installments.

you are doing great this game is really really good so far keep up the great work. was gonna mention the darkness in some scenes but looks like you have that all under control so :)

Total garbage and it ends after one minute. Basically a game only cucks will praise.

For those who skip the convo then yes you get nothing out of it but for those like me who are looking at the story then we get a lot out of it, if your just looking to fap go view real porn you will get there faster.

There won't be any content either way, you brainlet. You will get pretentious awkward dialogs and no scenes to fap to.

Probably shouldn't mention that here. Someone should make a patch for it because you don't want to be involved in that sort of thing.

I understand that people have differences in what they like. Myself, I like story and content. This will have both but the content needs to fit the story I am telling. Now, you will see some content quicker than other content but as long as it fits what I'm writing, I will add it. The way I am handling this may not be what some are looking for and that is fine. If it's not for you, there are lots of other games that may suit your needs. Please don't be rude here. It's a game after all.
