Good afternoon,
this week, as announced, I have been working on new animations and individual images for new scenes. Of course, this included thinking about how exactly they should look and run. For Claire's scene you now have a little teaser, the others I'll leave as a surprise.
Another big point this week was working on the dice poker mini-game. I took your comments seriously after my last post and came to the conclusion that a card based poker game would have really exceeded the scope of development.
Even with the dice poker game, it wasn't quite as trivial as writing the AI for a blackjack game. Especially as you can simply look at blackjack: Have I more points than the player? good, stop! Am I below? Draw another card!
The dice poker game that I have now programmed runs in 2 rounds. Both roll the dice one after the other. After the first roll, the stake can be increased, then both players simultaneously select dice to be rerolled and the winner is determined after the 2nd roll. So evaluation of the players score has to happen in between and measures to still win have to be taken.
An example: the player has four of a kind while the AI has a straight: The AI has to reroll all dice since the straight can't win him the game. The player raises? Winning is already unlikely, might as well fold.

For the visualization I continued my work with blender to have animated dice rolls (not visible in the curent screenshot). Overall the UI could probably use a little more work, but for that I'll wait on your feedback until after the 0.5.8.0 release. For now I find it fitting and it will do for the further progression of Bjorn's storyline. Also the reason behind the current Implementation is to be able to add a third or even fourth AI player in the future. The rankings info can be toggled on and off, so that these space to the left of the current players could be used for additional players.
What's now next?
Half of the month is over and the goal now is to work on the story I wanted to tell around the inn. If you've played the 0.5.7.5 update, you already know roughly how the MC wants to get to Kirlic in the end. This quest can't be completed right now because Kirlic doesn't exist yet (as you all know). So I will write this quest up to the point where you could continue the journey if Kirlic existed (to be clear, that won't be in 0.5.8.0). After that, I'll work on the Old Boar's Inn story, which I also want to add. I don't know how far I'll get with it in the coming week, but the goal is to finish 0.5.8.0 in the week after next so that it's available for you before the end of the month.
The new scenes that I have now animated must of course also be integrated and written. I'll start on that today and continue over the course of the coming week.
So there's still a lot to do, but once I'm in the flow it's usually quite easy to write the necessary dialog.

What Version of RPGMaker is used to make this game? Is it RPG Maker MV? And what are the assets used to make the maps? Chyos

You need to advance on Ophelia and do her Quest, then she will start working at the Inn. You can them go on the trip with Kate and Claire Quest. You can't now because their Quest is tied to Ophelia's Quest to have her as a replacement.

So I take it Kirlic will be Chapter 3? Because it seems that there is quite a bit of people that are either from there and want to return or are on their way there. If that is the case then we have quite a bit of storylines to wrap up before going there. I just don't understand why Chapter 1 is short and Chapter 2 is longer. Chapter 1 plays more like a Prologue because of how short it is. Wish the dev would take that into consideration and change it.

The game probably will be finished in 2 or 3 years and many questions will remain unanswered. Chyos already said that he plans a sequel which will feature the same area but a few decades later so probably only the gods and demons will have a comeback.

2 to 3 years? Your kidding right? At the rate he is making all the women get pregnant right now its going to take longer than that especially if he is waiting for the end of each girl's storyline, with the amount of LI's in this game it will take longer than that especially when he still has many storylines to finish. At least the developer of A Peasant's Quest isnt shying away from the pregnancy aspect like it seems Chyos is or else he would have had more than 2 pregnancies by now considering how long its been in development.

Don't get that one, get the one on page 1557. I was having troubles with the 5.7.5 Test/Hotfix for 5.7.5. If you want to keep your save from old game just go to open the www and then copy your save and replace the process for the new game but paste and overwrite.

so i must download the game 2.2 gb cannot get fixed by downloading small sized files , yes i keep a copy of my saves .

this may come as a bit of a surprise to some of you, but recent changes in Patreon policy have made it necessary for me to do a bit of forward planning.

Over the past week I've been contacted by many of you who were concerned about the future of the game due to Patreon removing several other adult creators from their plattform.
This is due to the fact that they have tightened their guidelines regarding adult entertainment.

Since I have been running this account here on Patreon, I have always made sure to adhere to the guidelines. However, this is also a matter of interpretation to a certain extent.
So now that I have read some reports from content creators who have lost everything from one day to the next (without warning and on request only received prefabricated emails for explanation). I've decided to prepare for the worst.

This is why I've now opened a page on Subscribestar. You can find the link to my new account there: here.

What does this now mean for the future?
From now on I will update both platforms at the same time. I have no intention of closing my Patreon account myself and if they decide that my work meets their guidelines, then great.
But you can imagine how much this topic has been weighing on me the last few days. it feels like having your head under a guillotine, never knowing when or if it will fall.

At the same time I won't change my game because they decide to change their rules. I have already bent a lot of my storytelling to meet their guidelines in the past. In other genres it's fine to have all kind of brutality, but when it comes to sex everything must be clean and with flowers everywhere (at least this is how it feels). I know this is not Patreon's fault and that they just want to appease their payment companies such as Paypal.
Nevertheless, such a restriction on creativity just feels bad. It's a bit reminiscent of past debates about games like Counterstrike. It took years for politicians to change their minds and realize that not all people who play such a game become murderers, and in this case there were widespread protests. I doubt it will cause a similar uproar here as the audience is a much smaller target group.

So, I hope this page will continue to exist and I will now try to get my head free and continue working on actual content.

That hotfix was for the 5.7.5 test version. You might need to download the 5.7.5 version and transfer your saves.

Help me in the 1 moment - Penny's husband comes wounded and we can choose who to call for help (I usually called Katherin), BUT I recently found out that if you call Lucius, then there will be a scene with them... my question is the following - HOW to change the save value, would the game think that I called Lucius and NOT Katherin? If this is at all possible...
This is NOT a critical moment, just interesting... I decided to replay the game and look at everything on the NTR branch, there is a lot more content, on the one hand...

Honestly you would be so much better on subscribster. Alot of those past things you were talking about isn't such a big deal over there and you have alot more freedom. This is a very open minded game and subscribster would be the perfect place for it. Parden my latin, but F*** patreon. They ruined so many games.

Look for the circled cluster of rocks next to bodies of water. I'm not sure if you need perception in order for it to show up or not.

I wish more creators would've made the switch to subscribestar much sooner. Patreon has had everyones balls in a vice since day 1, with their constant policing and changing rules and terms of service.

Yes. If Kate never fails the mini game she will never have sex with Thomas, and you can basically get the room for free. Be careful, though. If you fail once the relationship is locked that way forever.

You know how many times I have failed that mini-game until I got it right? Quite a bit and I ended paying for Kate's tips a few times so Thomas would leave her alone and he did. I never changed my relationship if I failed BUT if I didnt pay Thomas then it probably would have.
