is the katherin bonus scene only for MC as chieftain and not for the Dasan ntr route
No, there is Katherin and Dasan scenes as well.

Dasan is dead in my game, but during the bugtest when Rumah scenes were bugged out, I got this while hanging out in Raaisha and Hiba's hut for the night.

how to I make a saddle in the workbench he says he is not skilled enough
Relative easy you just get the right material go to Calan's rest and kill all the orcs. Go to the mine for Iron and dulatron. buy the rest of the material on monday or tuesday from Grant the merchant. Go to your house and craft all kinds of armor until you reach sewing 30

found out its because i didn't finish the goblin quest so shes not my companion yet sucks im waiting for dev to add the other routes before continuing that quest line
Ugotha has a love and domination route, I don't think there will be more routes added.

See the note at the very bottom:

"Good evening,

I still wonder how I got here... Sunday night almost 2am...
Right, I thought I could finish this update this Saturday until noon to finally put an endpoint to it... so that I wouldn't have to write another weekly report in which I tell you that I still need more time because for some reason even after all this work this week it's not done yet.

So now it is done, at least in part... But to a degree that you at least can enjoy some of it. I had planned 2 routes for Ugotha and 1 of them (dominance route) is currently only to 90% finished. Because of that I now put a hard breakpoint to that route so that the events there are blocked for now and you can't complete it (I don't want you to run into unfinished events). The other route (loverote) can be completed.

So that all the work today was not in vain I publish this version now. I'm not entirely happy with it, but not publishing it would also feel wrong after all the work I put into it today.

I will continue to work on this on monday and then also add in the content for Snikka which is also still not added. and you will also get a full changelog from me.
But right now I'm too tired to look through everything to write it properly.

Edit 02/18/25: By now both routes can be completed and as promised here the full changelog since 0.5.9.0: "

Further, we already have a couple of years worth of updates in the pipeline. None of the options (calling them options because they are picked by popular vote) have anything to do with the Goblins, or Bianca.

Winterhowl Progress Update

Good afternoon,
It is getting dark outside once again, which means the week is almost over and it's time for another weekly update.

On Monday, I started by fixing remaining issues from the 0.6.1.5 update. I had already begun working on those last week, but since the fixes turned out to be more extensive than expected, and additional bug reports from before the update came in as well, it took almost all of Monday to resolve them.

On Tuesday, I then fully started working on the Sabrina scene. Of course, the most complex option out of all the choices ended up winning. :D
I was initially unsure whether I should even include it as an option, since I knew I could not implement it properly without adding additional context first. However, since it received the second-highest number of votes last year, I felt it was only fair to offer it again.

I began by updating Sabrina’s skin texture, which I had last worked on years ago, to bring it in line with the quality of other female characters. After that, it was necessary to rework her dialogue images, as many facial expressions were missing and I also wanted a consistent look with the new dialogue images I created for her winter outfit. I also created a new sprite set for that outfit.

That covers the graphical preparation. Next came the story context. I started by having Sabrina properly introduce herself to Athia. After all, the two had only met once before, and not under particularly good circumstances.

Once that event was written, including four slightly different dialogue variations depending on whether the player rebelled against Gwen and whether Sabrina drank a certain potion or not, I moved on to working on another small scene with Sarbina, that I felt was necessary to add to make a conection for the winterhowl scene. I worked on that scene until just recently, editing images, rendering backgrounds, and writing dialogue. But it is still not completely finished. I hope to complete it in the coming hours before the day is over.

Which means that I have not even started working on the actual Christmas scene yet. That is a problem, because next week I realistically only have two full workdays. From the 24th until the end of the week, I will be spending time with my family and don't plan to work during that time.

I am therefore currently considering how I can still release something next week. What is certain is that the complete scene will only be finished in the week after Christmas. Unfortunately, that cannot be avoided due to the scope of the scene and the lack of prior context, that I now added.

However, I could at least release this first scene, which is nearly finished now, by Tuesday evening, together with a few smaller adjustments and additions. That would result in a reasonably rounded update, and I could then add the remaining part in the week after Christmas. It would certainly make me sleep better if I knew I released at least something in time for the holidays.

I assume that for many of you today was already the last working day before the holidays, so I would like to wish you all happy holidays and some well-deserved time to rest and celebrate!

And of course, I wish you all
a nice weekend!

Katherine Katherine Katherine
Katherin is a typo
I consider you my personal fan.
So much waste of time
You are cute when you are mad and obsessed. Look at you wishing that I gave a fuck about you, while you desperately look for something that gives you the chance to address me.

You'd think you'd at least check yourself before further wrecking yourself.

There are lots of ways to spell Catherine.

Katherine is one, but this game uses Katherin. I didn't correct the other person to be pedantic, I did it so that when they searched the forum the would find the posts that spell her name right. Searching for the wrong spelling, fewer hits, less correct help with their problem. Right spelling, more answers and more likely the right information about her.

Here is Chyos using her name, I bolded it for you, he used it at least five times in this paragraph:

Good afternoon,
It’s Friday again, which means it’s time for another update on what I’ve managed to get done over the past week.
I started the week by wrapping up some image work I didn’t finish last Friday. Along the way, I also created two more animations for Katherin to help round out the campfire scene. During the week, someone asked whether it would be possible for Katherin to officially become the MC’s wanita, and yes, I do plan to add something like that, but only for the Chieftain’s route.
Aside from Katherin’s scene, I also tackled some bugs (thanks again for the reports!). The biggest one was an issue with the crafting system. Technically, it only affected a single item that never had any upgrade slots, no matter how high your skill level was. But while fixing that, I finally decided to address the bigger annoyance with the random upgrade slots (Even at max skill, items were stuck with 0–2 slots, when they were supposed to always have 2 permanently). After I figured out a solution, I had to go through and update every single item in the database individually with the new code (The code for how many slots an item gets is written into the create event right on each item, so there is no global event that manages it). That turned into a massive task and basically ate up an entire day. But it was really something that bothered me, so I'm happy that this now finally works.
Back to the main update: I also continued working on Katherin’s images and started writing her dialogues and coding things in. I’ve added her images into the game and began reworking the campfire scene so she can take part in it. I haven’t tackled all the transitions yet, and as I suspected last week, it’s going to be tricky to sync everything smoothly. Even the positions I set earlier had to be adjusted again, otherwise animations like Ayita’s walk toward the MC ended up looking awkward.
Which brings me to my plan of finishing everything today. And… realistically, even if I work late into the night, it’s not going to happen. There’s just too much left to do, and I also want the two paths (Dasan/Chieftain) to feel meaningfully different in terms of story. On top of that, the MC might not have a relationship with Katherin at all, so I need to make sure there are proper alternative dialogues and images for that case too (work on these images is mostly done by now).
So, I’ll need a bit more time to pull everything together into a polished result and I hope you will grant me that. I still hope that it won't take much longer. At present, I estimate that it should be feasible by around the first half of next week.... After that I want to begin working on the Kirlic update, which I am very much looking forward to.

I will provide you with further details on this next Friday.
For now I will return to my work and I wish you all a nice weekend!

Were some quest progresses reset with this update? Because the last time I played, I'd already finished all the buildings in Darkholt and was in charge there, and I'd already finished with the demon at the church in the monestary, but now it's like I never did anything there. Was it reset intentionally or is this a bug? I really hated the minigame deconstructing those buildings (I sucked at Tetris) and don't really want to deal with those again.

Are you sure you loaded the right save? I didn't run into that issue, nothing reset. None of the subscribers reported that issue either, and most folks imported saves from older updates.

Yeah, I imported the saves from the previous version I played (0.6.1.1.b), over 100 hours of playtime.

Okay, recopied the saves from the previous version and overwrote the previously imported saves, loaded it up and it worked this time. I probably copied from the wrong version. Weirdly the game version listed on the save file says 0.6.1.0c, even if I overwrite it while playing the latest version.

The version listed when you load the save always shows the version they were created under, it doesn't effect anything, just the way it is. If create a new game, it would show v0.6.1.5. Content isn't limited, just a label.

Glad you were able to get the completed Darkholt and Monastery save working.

I have snow, and pumpkins. In real life December, in game it's October.

From what you can see in my game, it's September. Now in "rl" it's December, so there should be snow, because in our real calendar, it's December. The game gives us two ways to see this change. The first is with the in-game calendar. And the second is with the real one. But as you can see in my game, the Christmas event has started, but the snow hasn't fallen. So either it's a bug. Or did Chyos mess with something in the last two versions of the game, disabling this option? ( I also tried with the old version v0.6.1.1b and nothing there either.) But seeing as it's already snowing in your game, it means either snow falls in the game around October. Or it's actually because we're in December in the real month. So my save is bugged? Or is there something disabled?

By the way, you also have the Halloween event active. I think it's due to the month of October in the game.

I don't know if it can be useful to you, this is my save, it should be the 22, which in the game is the 23, since the autosave takes the number 1

Thank you

First, yeah in my play through I already killed the Ancient One (October event).

Secondly, I did just learn that snow isn't a real life December thing in the game. Events are effected by both calendars (mysterious eggs, pumpkins, winterhowl), but the weather outside is dependent on the in-game calendar ONLY.

December events are active in your save, from the point it loads in the garden next to the queen, I ran up here to by Corven's to look. This tree tells me all Winterhowl events are active. The snow here is the only place I found it with your save in September.

1766161673322.png

If you cut that tree down, Krampus will spawn:

Luca Krampus.png

Then I just skipped 20 days using your save to get to October. You'll see snow when you get to October in-game. (That quest is active because I loaded your save using v0.6.1.5, entering Arenfield automatically activates it if you have already read Marcus's letter. Check the stats, it's your save.)

Wait Katherin can get pregnant now? She has a fertilization scene that wasn't there before.
Was added in v0.6.1.1, she doesn't get a belly or give birth yet. But that will likely be added later this year since Tia is likely going to win the v0.6.3.0 polling.

This is the description of her update:

"Tia: Now that her desire for revenge has finally been satisfied, it's time to look to the future and her wish to have children can finally be fulfilled. It has been a while since Rumah has had offspring, the community has yet to adjust to this new situation."

So this update was the introduction to kirlic and the next will be a sabrina update along with winterhowl, wish it continued to in kirlic, but it is what it is.

One thing I've noticed, and I'll probably be labeled a "hater" here or whatever despite me liking the game and liking chyos, but he desperately needs to get better at time management, maybe my perception is skewed, but it seems like every update a portion of it is him justifying why the update will either take longer or have to be chopped up to meet the deadline.

I don't expect updates to be meet the deadline every time, especially around this time of the year, but this seems like a constant issue in my eyes.
