I love a slow burn game like this. Very well done. I do have a point of confusion though. There are a few "x amount of time has passed" situations which makes my next statements a bit ambiguous. It seems like the MC and the sisters are in a romantic situation but it isn't very clear how much intimacy they have with one another. Trying to understand if a deeper intimacy is implied but not shown (which is fine) or if they really haven't gone past the occasional smooch (which is also fine). Especially considering you have a scene where the MC visits that one woman, but doesn't want to cheat on the sisters. Which leads one to believe that the relationship with the sisters is more than just good friends with kissing privileges. I'd be grateful if you'd clarify that for me.

How I understand it:
- MC moves in
- Timeskip of about 2 weeks.
- He tells his boss "it's not like that" when he remarks about the twins
- Timeskip of several months
- MC and the twins have grown closer, but aren't romantically involved
- the twins make their move, MC goes along with it (there's no real characterization to call it otherwise)
- Movie night on that same day
- Date with Hailey is the day after
- That afternoon they leave

So how I understand it is that there wasn't any time to "seal the deal". Though it's possible it happened offscreen with Haley.

Hey everyone. Gonna do the log early since I'm unfreezing Patreon anyways. I don't tend to spend a lot of time over here, so I try and make the most of the time I spend here. Almost all of the models are done. I still have a couple hair assets to work out and a couple models who still need to tweaking, and one that needs to be redone with a completely new set of materials. The process is pretty quick for me now though, so I should have all of that done by next weekend. Environment went on a bit of a halt to focus on completing the characters conversions. There was a lot of headway on that this week. I also did some posing, lighting, compositing practice. It was a really good week for ATR. As the title indicates, I have unfrozen the Patreon. You should be free to pledge if you wish. I don't do monthly billing but for new members you might want to wait until tomorrow (the 1st) anyways because in November PATREON IS FORCING CREATORS TO SWITCH TO MONTHLY BILLING WHERE REGARDLESS, YOU WILL CHARGED ON THE 1ST. Just a heads up for anyone signed up on a different date. You won't be charged twice or anything, but something to keep in mind so you don't seem shocked that you were charged on the 1st and not the Nth day of the month when November rolls around.

We are currently looking for new avenues for music, since the lewd content in Ch 1 negates the majority of the Prologues music licenses. I'll hunker down and start reaching out to new artists once production kicks back up, but for now, thanks to a good dev friend, I do have some great CC options and we also have plenty of cinematic music thanks to Phel and his obsession with Humble Bundles who put me on to a game music collection many moons ago.

Alright, I think that about covers it this week. I'll be dumping the Blender art that I kept in a post for Patrons soon. The images are scattered across a few different test folders, so I need to hunt them down, but keep an eye out for that post today. I hope you all have a great week. The content that's out is the prologue, it sets up the story and introduces us to various LI. I'm sure lewds will start happening in the next update or so.

Hey everyone. So, good news on all fronts I think. Character conversions are almost done. I'm finally at a point now where I'm happy with where the models are getting to. I keep learning new things about how to make the models look even better, but a recent conversation has ensured I curb my desire to keep pushing further. There is a difference between having a portfolio quality model, and a game-ready model. So the quality I kept shooting for, wouldn't have been able to be animated, and would have probably blown up my PC if I tried to have more than a couple models on screen. So, with that information in hand, the quality of the models is already well above what I could have achieved in Daz. So, now the focus will be to finish the conversions with my current blueprint, make the necessary character specific adjustments, and then move on to hair and environments. I have the downtown cityscape finished. That was a HUGE relief. Now it's the individual environments. I am currently talking to a Blender modeler who works with the community, but he might be too busy to fit me into his schedule within the time-frame I'm working with. So we will see. I just suck at modeling, there's no way to get around it. It's fucking atrocious. But I'll do what I have to do to get the game back up and running. So crossing my fingers he can fit me in, but won't stop me moving forward if he can't. I will ultimately outsource for the environment work, simply because I want the environments to be on par with my models.

Anyways, that's where we are with all of that. I want to say optimistically I'll be back to production by October, but to give myself some buffer space we'll say Early to Mid October at the latest, we should be back up and running. I really wanted to practice animation, but honestly, I'll probably learn better by working on the animation as it comes. So far there are 3 planned for the first chapter release. 2 cinematic and 1 lewd. This number may grow depending on how much of Chapter 1 fills the story, or if the creative bug light's a fire under my ass. As of right now, I have the entirety of book 1 (chapter 1-4) mostly outlined and written, obviously with room for fleshing out the narrative / adding some content where it might seem fitting. So, there is no shortage of content ready to be made.

Alright, I think that's it for this one. I will have the bi-weekly 4k up for the eligible parties soon. I'll also have some WIP stuff coming pretty soon as well, been really wrapped up in it to consolidate anything I can show; but I will soon. I hope you all have a great week. Hey everyone,

Been another successfully productive week. Moved my characters around and realized they needed to be optimized a bit. So I'm working on that. I've decided to outsource the environment work to a very talented artist in the 3D community. I was bound to hit a part of 3D work that I hated and sucked at. Modeling is it. Daz was easy. You loaded an environment and moved some stuff around/kitbash the interior. Blender can be done like this too, but the whole point of moving to Blender was to get away from Daz and it's lackluster quality shit. Not saying everything is, but the things that aren't, still need to be brought over, and then have their materials updated so it doesn't look like shit in Blender. There have been a few times where I tried to do this, and realized after a few hours of work, that there was something just inherently fucked up with the UV's or the geometry of the environment that I couldn't even use it anymore. So, i tried my own hand at modeling and I'm just fucking ass at it. No way around it. I've tried, and tried, and tried some more. It's just not something I enjoy, which is probably why it's impacted my learning with that regard. I really just don't want to do it. So! Best thing to do, is pay a pro to do it. The concept work so far has been very beautiful, and there isn't a single environment on the market that looks like it. So, fuck yes. I'm super excited to bring some life to it. The artist is super busy, so hopefully I'll be able to hire him again for future work as well, but that will depend on his caseload and any production deadlines that might be in place.

Moving on from there. Posing and lighting is continuously being tested. I'm super fortunate for the advice and guidance I've gotten in the Blender community in this regard. I've been learning A LOT from these extremely talented artists and animators. I'm hoping it'll show for the future of this project. I did start practicing animation now that I'm getting better at posing with this rigging system. This week I'll be testing out some collision mechanics and physics cages. Yes... for tits and ass/thigh jiggle, of course. You fucking degenerates. It's super exciting.

Other than animation and physics work this week, I'll also be trying to get the hair done for the models. Honestly, next to modeling, the fucking particle system has been a crux for me. However, that is one I won't give up on. It's too valuable of a skill not to develop, and unlike modeling I love doing it. I just suck at it right now. But the hair models are getting better with every failure, so that's enough to keep me going. Seriously, I can't wait to be able to kick back up production. It's really exciting.

On the backend, Cloon continues to work on improvements for the phone and researching ways to make the game more dynamic and interactive. There were talks of quick-time events in the future for the action scenes, but we will hold a poll later on down the road when it gets closer to the releases focused on that content. For now the first book is mainly focused on world building and relationship development with all the ladies of ATR.

Yeah, the issue I think it has, is that the dev started telling his story with the end of the prologue in mind, then worked backward. The result is that this scene, which is supposed to hit hard, just doesn't. We barely get to know the characters, we're just told that things are a certain way while we're not shown how they got there.
In my case, I didn't care for anyone, even the protagonist who gets everything handed to him and acts passive and domesticated.

I sincerely hope this is just a side effect of it being a prologue, and that the actual game has more attention to relationship building and player choice.

Hey everyone. Another week down. The environment is almost ready. The models are waiting, and raring to go. As soon as the environment is completed, I will need to do a little rigging, and some decorating, but besides that, we are almost ready to get the ball rolling on Chapter 1. I haven't had a ton of time this week for test anything new. Work was hectic. Birthday was this weekend. It was just a busy week. Today, I'm hungover to high hell, and I'm just trying to push through to bedtime. Lol. So besides that, there wasn't much else to report this week. The modeler will get the environment back to me as soon as he can, and once I complete the necessary steps on my end. I'll begin production on Chapter 1. I'm really looking forward to it with both excitement, and dread. Lol. Anyways, I'm going to end it here, because words are blurry and my brain hurts. Hope you all have a great week. Hey everyone! Great news. I got the environment back and it looks amazing. I have to finish the furniture, but I started that already. I still need to add the light fixtures and everything as well, but the takeaway here is that I have the MC, and the starting stars of this chapter ready to go. I'm going to take today and tomorrow off, and then on the 1st, I'll officially begin the production cycle for Chapter 1. I'm both excited and terrified, but I think it's going to be great. I'll send out another notice on the 1st as a sort of official statement to the beginning of the cycle, but yeah. It's coming. That's about it. I want to get this out soon. My fucking ISP out here has been acting stupid. I'm getting sub-DSL speeds when it's working, and frequent drops in connectivity. Yet they're saying there isn't a problem. Lol. Anyways, thankfully Blender doesn't need the internet to work. I hope you all have a great week. I'll send the launch post on the 1st and probably drop a nice little one off to commemorate it. Jesus it's been a fucking day. Work has been insane, but I still got a lot of shit done. So, I have to redo the UV maps for the furniture. It shouldn't take too long, but yeah, the materials are all fucked up because I had to remesh them and it broke the UV's. Basically, the materials don't know where to go, so it just splats onto the surface. There's no texture or detail. Just a flat color of something. Anyways, not all the furniture is like that but the pieces I need for the start of the chapter are. So I'll try and get that all done tomorrow. I got everyone's outfits and shit ready to go, and their skin materials are dialed in for the scene. I still need to add lighting fixtures in the apartment but that should be done tomorrow as well since I have a clear picture of what I want. My day job has been crazy today, so no time for that one off. But I'll get one out soon. It won't be tonight, I still have day job shit to do for probably another couple hours. Then it's bedtime for me. Lol. Anyways, just wanted to drop this to let everyone know I have in fact started production today. Didn't get a ton done, but I got enough done to say it's begun. I'd have to agree with that. After playing again you can tell the dev knew how they wanted the epilogue to end, but there just wasn't enough of a lead-up to it. The only thing that "hits" is knowing from a moral standpoint that doing what the MC did is a big no-no and shows they have some issues. But you don't really get to know the LI enough to really care it happened, other than the aforementioned no-no simply because of all the time skips to be honest.

Is it a deal breaker? Not really, but I just hope episode 1 has some tighter story telling in regards to the characters if they ever want to do that kind of epilogue impact again.

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend. The apartment is done, the characters are done, and everything is set up, both internally and externally for the environment. I ran into some headaches with the first animation test, but I'm sorting it out. I'll start posing and rendering the start of chapter 1 tomorrow. I needed to clean up some of the story that was written. Since I wrote most of this over a year and change ago, I'd like to think I've improved both narratively and conceptually. So, while the bones are still good for the story and dialogue, there are just some things I found that I had to stop and ask, "Dude... what the fuck were you thinking when you wrote this?" Anyways, I'm going to take today off and just binge watch some horror movies with my furry flashbang, and I'll pick everything back up tomorrow. Man... I can't wait to bring the main cast to the screen. It's been a long time coming.

Cloon reached out and found some really great music sources, and we tied them to some specific scenes that were already long planned. So that's a nice little load off. He is also working on something that will appease both the soundtrack lovers AND the soundtrack haters. A solution for everyone. More on that though when he has a working concept.

Alright, I think that'll do. Got a pretty loaded week with work and some personal shit, but I look forward to reporting some good news in the next log. For my Patrons, I'll be releasing that one off I promised this past week, as well as throwing up the 4k poll. For those on Discord, at some point I will eventually redo the girls channel, which having some visual representation should help drive the voting. Hey everyone, hope you all had a great week. It's been... a week. I got the opening cinematic keyed and ready to render. I also got about 20 scenes keyed as well. So, the terminology is going to shift a bit due to the workflow differences between Daz and Blender. So in Daz, we would pose all the models for the image, then save the scene, and then move on. Some devs use the Daz timeline but I've seen too many times where it gets corrupted or some other issues and they end up losing a ton of work. So I didn't do that. Blender however, is different. You do use the timeline, and honestly, the workflow in theory seems pretty straightforward, but let me tell you. The practice of said theory is not. It's been a rough start but... it is started. Besides the workflow, man, production lighting is a lot different than just lighting for a pinup. Where I can just place as many lights as I want, in whatever formation I want to get the best shot. It's very different in production. I have to factor in continuity, blending, and positioning on top of everything else. I'm just venting though. It was a bit of a frustrating endeavor but, like all things in this space, I'll get it. Thanks to Puggy, from Hellcat Lounge, as always, helped me with some settings that'll help streamline the workflow a little smoother. The man is a fucking rock-star. Couldn't ask for a better person to guide me on this journey. Anyway, I digress. So instead of saving each scene, I move the models around, key all the movements, and then go to the next. Once I'm finished with the scene, or at least a section of the scene I want to stop at before starting new, I then render the whole timeline like an animation. So, that's what I mean when I say I have the scenes "keyed."

The cinematic was set at a little over 280 frames to allow me enough time for the edits, and then the 20 scenes I posed for the start of the chapter puts me at about 300 frames to render. I'll keep hacking away at it, but I think the first story preview will drop today for Patrons and members.

Alright, I think that's about it for this week. It's the end of the year ass-fucking-campaign at work, so the next few months will be busy, but I'll keep hacking away at the chapter work and of course I'll always keep y'all updated.
