and he NEVER fixed bugs he introduced since then. N E V E R
Geesekiboda definitely fixed a bunch of bugs since then. Heck, he ‘fixed’ the bugs in the MomxSis route at least five times because things kept breaking.

Of course, several of the ‘fixes’ consist of simply patching out the broken content. For example, some of the broken office mini-games were simply removed. Same with some of the endgame content, where Geeseki "patched" the hole in the code by simply stitching the broken part to a later part of the story, while the content that should have bridged these parts is still missing.

If he didn’t make the development log private some time ago, I’d give you more examples of fixed bugs. It’s simply that he doesn’t fix all the bugs.

I'm aware of that, but I was just curious as to why that user thinks that Geeseki has no need to 'do better' when clearly he has shown there are a million things he needs to work on.
Geeseki had at least two viable options:

1) Turn the sinking ship around and work hard at actually fixing the game.
2) Let it die while dragging things out with minimal updates to milk it for as long as possible.

He did a half-hearted attempt of the first, when ~2 updates were focused on filling in missing content and fixing bugs instead of adding new content. Then, he gave up and has let it slowly die. Now that the new game gives him as much as the old does, he finally makes it official that he’s done with ATU.

Since he’s getting away with this, I don’t get why he’d have a "need to ‘do better’". What he does works, clearly.

Again, I understand what he did from a developmental standpoint. Take the easy route out as people were naive enough to still support him. Doesn't change what I said though; he does need to do better. That being said, he has shown his competency with Sugar Service and it's a shame that ATU is too far-gone for him to redeem.

not even that, he just full on is tired of it.
if darkcookie can pull a "we're rewriting AND redoing the art of summertimesaga again" then gesse could pull that off too without much complaints from his paypigs, especially if he went on with a tech demo that works as a preview for how bugless and the new changes on the coding.
he dindu and trying to go beyond that is just speculation for he said he's done with ATU but hasn't disclosed, though he did said to be going to cut content :HideThePain:

That's true about Summertime Saga, but there's also a team working on that and not just a single developer, I'm not too sure what the situation is with Geeseki. Not to mention that Summertime Saga was already highly successful before his rework and not a bug-riddled mess, my guess is that the tech demo is to milk Summertime Saga for as long as possible and continue promises of new/reworked content for his patrons. Geeseki is likely just tired of the consistent criticism as his game was never nearly as solid as Summertime Saga in the first place.

He's seriously abandoning this game for a game where you play glorified rock paper scissors? Are you kidding? That sucks serious fucking ass because I really loved this game and couldn't wait to see what content he was going to add over time, but I guess it all ends by the end of this year. I know the game has a lot of flaws but I really love it so it just really sucks to me. Well, I hope sugar service has a REALLY good story and scenes because otherwise it's just not my thing.

Every criticism has always been fully and well deserved.

You need to realise that he started this game towards the end of 2016 and we're in october 2024 right now, forchrissake!

Anyway, ATU is not a solo effort. He's got a team since 6 years at least: he hasn't been writing the dialogues since then, for instance.

Please stop responding to this. I'm not sure why you freaks think I'm defending him when I did the opposite of that in my initial two posts. He has done a very poor job. I was just clarifying that there were clear differences between Summertime Saga and A Town Uncovered before their respective 'reworks'.

I finally bothered to modify the VR-headset code to just unlock every scene in the gallery. Not sure if you can get it to work otherwise, but if you unarchive the game, it’s located in game/scenes/myhouse/mybedroom/both.

There’s still a "missing" scene, but that’s because that one was removed from the game or never fully implemented. It might have been the deleted after-NTR scene with the teacher, maybe?

I don't have any folder called scenes in the game folder. can you tell us where it is exactly?

As mentioned, you need to unarchive the game, using a tool like Unren.

https://f95zone.to/threads/unren-ba...compiler-console-developer-menu-enabler.3083/
https://f95zone.to/threads/unren-for-macos-and-linux-v0-8-2.16887/

There is probably a way for it to work without unpacking. (Maybe just putting it in the "game" folder will work?) I have no experience with that, though.

I created the folders you wrote in the post above, then I created a txt file via notepad++, changed the format to .rpy and putting your code, strangely it works. But I don't know if it was intentional or not, the scenes don't have an ending or turning point ahahahha
