Just started this game. How much reddit-tier young adult navel gazing am I expected to sit through before the story actually starts and I can go corrupt the mom/sis? (Director is surprisingly hot too)
In most cases, the save files should also be saved elsewhere by your computer. Even completely deleting and reinstalling the game should keep your save files.
If you want to be sure, open the "game" folder and copy the "save" folder into the newly installed version 0.55a. That folder has all your saves, and you can make as many security copies of it as you want.
Wow, it’s that type of bug again… Unless the devs fix it, the only solution is to use the computer in your room to jump back to whichever step you are supposed to be. It tells you which step you are on, and you can manually enter the number of the step you want to be at. If you don’t know it, this may require some guessing.
I’ll start updating the list of bugs again. To clarify, which scene of which route threw you back to the finding a job goal?
I think those two storylines progressed decently fast, as far as dialogue goes. Dialogue became longer over time, and those were the first two routes in the game.
For Effie's route, the mission is to accompany her to the beach party on Friday.
The skip quest feature doesn't seem to include her route

This shit game is actually fucking unplayable. What brainless mongoloid sperm waste did make the hints, that hint you absolutely nothing. Game full of bugs to the throat.

I got this bug as well. Game genuinely unplayable until this gets fixed. Shame because my last save was from 2 years ago and i saw very little new content until this bug. Maybe sometime in the 2030's we'll see some progression on the project. Though probably not because the computer alrleady has an ad for his NEXT game as if this one is anywhere clsoe to being finished

His new game Sugar Service is a lot better and a lot more well-rounded. He's done an awful job managing A Town Uncovered but a full release is coming out this month or next month according to his Patreon so he can work on his new game. I guess ATU isn't something he's particularly proud of either considering how much he's improved.
