I understand you fully! It never does what we expect it to do...
One thing that I started doing that helped a lot was using only the controllers to pose her hair... before I would try to move the individual strands and I all I got were nightmares haha

Sophia is finally getting some real nerve, and Boogie Woogie Bull ain't too bright. But, then again, he does work for a big organization filled with special people. In case some readers here don't know the Manila Shaw story, this is a representation of the opening fight scene from that game (from Sophia's point of view). Killing J. Blue is one of Manila's first options.

In the Manila Shaw game J. Blue and crew come into the store and try to molest Manila. If you win the mini game then Manila has three choice: Arrest J. Blue, take a bribe, or shoot him dead. Sophia comes into the scene after Manila in this timeline takes the last option.

I've been experimenting with alternate hair on my "Wanda" character as well. The hair I had was okay, but didn't really match what I wanted, plus when I added a smoothing modifier to it and raised the collision checks on it, there were these weird artifacts that popped up out of the hair.
