OMG guys, calm the fuck down! 30 minutes per render adjustment is of course the exception and concerned rather only the wedding dress scene, especially because of the huge mirror in the room which makes it additionally very difficult together with a new technique I'm using. Interior scenes are of course much more complicated and time consuming to create than exterior!
And it's really funny how again people are whining about too many "unnecessary" renders without even having seen the update!
I already reduced massively the amount of so called "unnecessary" renders compared to the beginning! But the problem is what are "unnecessary" renders? For the most people here is any render unnecessary which doesn't include some sexual act or nudity! But this is not a porn video but a visual novel with a slowly story build up! And there's a certain amount of renders I need to tell a scene to make it plausible and immersive! Period! Plus I want them to look in a certain way! And if we spread the around 458 renders over the events created yet, then every event has actually a pretty reasonable amount of renders!

1st side job: 123
2nd side job: 224
Emma/Dylan part 1: 23 (+around 12 later for part 2)
Wedding dress: 88

I really would like to make a live stream for a few hours to show you how fucking much work it is to create these scenes together with the story and how much is needed for that! Especially if you want the renders to look like lately! But I also don't like to give a free tutorial of techniques and tricks I acquired myself in a couple of years!
I'd really like to see your reaction if I would lower the quality like it was at the beginning only to release faster updates. And make every scene which doesn't include sexual acts like the sauna scene with Vicky! If you would like that. But this is my game and I'm not up to destroy it this way!!!
And it's really easy to shout out "why doesn't he get some help" without knowing shit about how this development process even looks like! On the one hand you like the beautiful renders and also the event build up which needs a lot of planning. On the other hand you want me to stop spending so much time on that. But the one thing is connected with the other! All the help suggestions I heard yet wouldn't help at all! All the script writers I talked to yet, didn't satisfy me. I was looking for someone who could fill some story details so that I won't spend so much time on that but I also didn't find anyone here. I already said the only chance to speed up the development process noticeably would be to find someone with exactly the same style and taste and giving this total stranger hundreds of GB of my content and the responsibility to create some scenes on his very own! But instead he could also just redistribute these private files!
L&P the only critique one can make is that you shoulder really consider hiring help for tasks that don't involve creativity. Your renders are second to none, literally, so I get you wanting absolute control over that process. Your writing and dialogue are also very strong, among the best ever in this genre. The programming though is...just programming. There's no science to it. Why not hire someone to do that? It wouldn't reduce the time considerably but it would allow you to focus exclusively on the creation aspect of the game and leave the nuanced tasks to another...and it would cut ~1-2 weeks from update times.

Great product and I'll be repledging. Don't see how this project can ever reach finish line but also didn't see Coronavirus happening XD XD XD

You forgot, crawl past him ;)

You know I find that there is something that has changed recently;
People who are often on this thread, and who supported L&P in general or for some almost systematically, begin to lose patience and review their judgment.
I've always seen people complain after every version, but rarely so much after every little one progress update.
Looking at the comments, most people want the story to move forward, and to stop with new characters (more than 60 o_O), new places, new clothes, too many details, new secondary events without consequences, etc.

I also see people who think that any criticism would go against the author's vision, it can be true sometimes, but it can also be a tremendous help to avoid dispersion. I believe a lot of people on this thread are rather expressing about the design (of course not on money matters, besides I don't care) relevant suggestions.

Moreover I'm pretty sure L&P hasn't a fully established global vision. So who can speak of betrayal in this case ?
...
...
I don't know if it's going to spur a big change for the future, but it's a wake-up call. In any case, I hope he will take the necessary decisions to provide a consistent update every three months at most. Otherwise I will look elsewhere.
3 updates a year, 4 months apart, is fine

2 updates a year, 6 months apart, is too little

Of course time will tell

You know, I really wonder, what makes you tick in that tiny head of yours. Lemme paraphrase it. Who said, that you so-called "constructive criticism" fits it's definition? Are you the head of the small enterprise, do you remotely understand how tiresome and frustrating it sometimes is, to manage your own business? Do you even grasp what a delegating of your responsonbilities means, specifically when your supposed substitute doesn't meet your individual criteria?
You're asking this to someone who founded a software company, sold it after 4 years and is now retired, enjoying life doing whatever I want and just throwing play money at startups and I'm not even in my 30s.

"Do you even grasp.." Fucking hilarious, just sit down little kiddo.

What an idiot.

edit; reading the past pages all I see is people agreeing with my points of view, but yeah, I guess we're the idiots, you're the genius.
A game, that if finished. will be finished in 8-10 years. Can you imagine the kind of games that are going to exist by then? Is AWAM supposed to be then what normal drawn comics are to these games now and work for 100 patrons? Imagine being so dense that you can't see that this project is ending in 2028 so it needs to be ahead of the game else fresh works will show up with more and better stuff (as they are right now) to do ingame and just capture the audience of AWAM. Do you think L&P is going to work for 400-500 patrons or that that kind of money is even enough?
Yeah we're the ones with the tiny heads.

Patricia and Sophia go horse riding while visiting a friend of Patricia's in the country..
You will need high friendship and lesbian points with Patricia to get the most out of this event.
Patricia is back? Didnt she need to leave for like a week or 2?
