While L&P's answers may sound nice in theory, most of it is complete nonsense. Releasing his game on Steam would require alot of extra work, which would only cause even slower development on both ends.
It's not like he can release AWAM on Steam in it's current form. He'd have to overhaul the entire game to get rid of any incest and shota content to make it Steam-friendly. Has anyone ever played the current DOL version? That game is a complete mess. At current pace, it would L&P take YEARS only to overhaul it, let alone the extra work required to release regular updates on both Patreon and Steam, two different versions. Even some of the biggest creators take several weeks to release their latest updates on Steam after the initial release on Patreon, and those games don't have any ToS-breaking content.
Regarding his plans for a writer or a team, he could have realized those "plans" a long time ago. Like I said, he's been saying the exact same thing for YEARS, and never has he done anything to make it happen. If money was the problem, why would he make statements about building a team or finding writer/translator in the first place? Years ago, without any plans to release his project on Steam, without the "extra money required". We've been discussing these kind of statements for the longest time, and it always ended the same way. L&P making excuses acting like a butthurt teenager and blaming everything but himself. And then the cycle continues.
One thing is certain, though. I'm really curious to see what he's going to say at the end of this PD, or next year, when once again nothing of what he said in this statement is happening. As always.
Also, he said he doesn't want to work 10 more years on the game, which is why he has his "plans" to speed up development by 50-60%. Yeah well, even if he could cut the development time in half, he would still need 15-20 more years to finish this project. He is either lying to himself, or just lying to a Legend tier patron. Or both.

They are the main character of the story.
I don't understand - it was like that in this game from the beginning. Why did you choose the game and why are you still in it, why complain about something that didn't exist that was never a main part of the story.
If something like this happens to me, it doesn't mean that I give up the game completely, but I do reorient myself and find a new favorite.

Probably never. Bennett is the only one so far Sophia has a reason to have sex with, and she's already got an out in terms of going to the school board to get Dylan's grade changed.
As for Aiden and his tasks, while he might intend on trying to force men onto Sophia, we have no idea if she might push back. There still is another "uncomfortable" solution available.
Assuming the game isn't abandoned in the meantime.

Don’t expect Sophia to have sex before PD19. Only possibility to change that are the “In between specials” LP announced. They may be Sophia’s memories… In PD16 the important character participating in heterosexual sex scenes will be Ellie… if LP continues at current pace after PD13 completion except it to happen in 12.5 years from now…

If he wants to retain the sex education storyline and follow the age rules at the same time, they'll officially become the weirdest 19-years-olders of all time.
If it's not a scheme, which I doubt, all he needs is some brains, a bit of work ethics, and much more of good will.

Probably he needs to change the pills.
Even if somehow he menage to fasten the development by 50%,
that still means 17-18 more years until the completion of the game.
In order to finish the game in less than 10 years,he should start releasing 2 full days per year.

The only way I can see a Steam launch is to launch DOL on Steam. L&P's love of the shota boys means that they CANNOT be part of any Steam release. I also think he would get review bombed if he tried. He's burned too many bridges with former Patreons and anyone who asks hard questions on Patreon. Steam does not let him control the narrative - so those reviews will tell the truth and put a serious damper on his cash grab.a steam launch?
