I haven't followed this thread or the game too closely. I had forgotten about it entirely until I think version 2 came out or something like that. This means I am not aware of what promises L&P made to his patrons and broke. That is indeed, something not ok. If you promise something you should deliver on it. If somehow something happens one time and you can't do it, you pull harder and make up for what you failed to do earlier.
What I honestly think would be the best solution in this case, would be for people not to completely stop supporting the game, but to only subscribe to it/support it in the month of the release, maybe 2 months, if the patrons are feeling generous.
This would motivate for faster releases, at least in my mind, as those would be the months where he would make the most of his income.
Of course this is all just a theoretical exercise because there's no way to organize or influence what people do with their money. I sometimes follow a few girls on Onlyfans and it's kind of the same problem, wrapped in a different package. They have the same content, always repeating, always teasing, nothing more. As long as enough people pay them for nothing, they will never do more. It's common sense.

Not that it really matters, just for future reference, it's Emmanuelle. Emmanuel is a man's name and I'm not aware of any movies with that name.
Regarding the porn game without sex, it is not a finished game. It has been in development for a very long time, yes, but it is still just an indie game, developed by a single person, advancing at a snail pace. It will contain sex in the end. I think it's already established that at least one more PD if not more will also be without sex. If you really just care about that part, you can safely come back a year or two in the future and you probably wouldn't have missed any sex scenes yet. If that is what you enjoy, I don't understand why you would aggravate yourself by checking every update, when we know, it won't go that far yet. I was pleasantly surprised by this update. Especially since I don't like Dylan so much, I expected to be disappointed by this update (the one in the bathtub kind of meh). But I wasn't, the struggle Sofia was having with herself was something I enjoyed, regardless of who the event with was with.
I thought it was a very good update!! We all think that it could've gone further, but I'm thinking it took alot longer than it needed to be. Cut down on the non essential script should speed things up a bit. less talk and more sex is a winning strategy!!
