At this point, I have to wonder about the polar opposites that only come here to try and belittle others for expressing their personal viewpoints. This forum is meant to encourage discussion in a civil, polite and respectful manner. Yet, it's typically people who can't stand any form of constructive criticism that try their hardest to squelch anyone who engages in such discussion. I have no problem with people saying what's good about this or any other VN, comic, short vids, etc that get posted on this forum. I do however have a problem when someone breaks the forum wide rules.
Heck, there is a reason we have such rules in every day life too. People don't honestly care what your personal opinions are if you express them. They do however care about the manner in which you express them and the behavior in which you engage in, within a public environment. This is a public environment and if any individual is incapable of treating everyone else with respect, then why are they really here? It certainly isn't to be part of a community in a healthy way. Instead, they choose to make remarks that only bring discord and disruption all in the name of their egos.
I've seen that sort of nonsense play out on this site far too many times in far too many different threads. Your statement alone indicates you just want anyone that might have a differing view to simply go away (maybe that's not your intended line of reasoning but it certainly does come off like that from the manner in which you worded the statement). That's no different than if you had personally insulted another individual. You can talk about how much you like the VN and why to your heart's content. Others can talk about how much they dislike it and why to theirs. That is all dependent upon civil behavior though and when people break that social contract, those are the ones that are in error and not the other way around.
He already knows the why. His track record of not remotely listening to any feedback is what's ultimately dragging it all down a negative path despite the fact he still has something that holds potential. He is not going to care one way or the other so long as he continues to maintain a high subscriber base on patreon and every other site he hosts his VN for sale on. Money is what he purely cares for and it will be why this VN continues to be spoon fed to anyone that keeps downloading it. If he actually does go back to his original pace of development like when he first started out, i will truly be surprised.

This developer knows what the controversy is about.
This developer has clearly borrowed ideas discussed on this forum, and I'm guessing that he's changed his development direction at least once because of the debate that has arisen on this forum.
I had assumed that this developer had planned a Steam version and its date a long time ago.
But, I'm guessing that when the subscriber count stopped growing and plateaued, this developer moved up the date of working on the Steam version.
And I won't know for sure until December, as the developer said, but based on his track record so far, he's already starting to take the hit.
And I don't know if I can say this, but contrary to other people's speculations, I am still negative about the future after development of the Steam version is completed.
(Regardless of whether I'm pinning my hopes on the Steam version.)
And some people don't admit that fire is hot until they burn their hands.
This update is still under development and the developer can make sufficient modifications, and the response may be good even without modifications, so I will wait.
I'm hoping that when that day comes, I'll find out whether this developer was right or wrong.

That was the last event planned for this PD before it was scrapped.
I am old enough to have several kids older than yourself & slightly younger than you, who now have kids of their own. Being a commentator on this thread makes me well aware of how old I am but as I still have a vivid memory of my schooldays & teen years, (at the time of writing!), I also believe I can appreciate some of the the POVs of the youthful fans to whom L&P has decided to dedicate his creation. I also came to AWAM to play a corruption game with renders of the highest quality, which seemed to promise a better story than many similar games I'd played. Specifically, I was hooked by the "realism & class" that the early game promoted & displayed.
Like you, I was conscious of a large teenage prescence in the cast & I understood that it was a given that incest would be a major feature. As I find no trace of eroticism in incest, I did my best for 5 years to ignore &/or avoid it. This turned out to be a successful approach, to a greater extent than I had expected, at least for that length of time. (I still obtain wry amusement from those who infer that incest is somehow morally superior to several other fetishes, teased but not really brought to fruition in AWAM). Recent developments have meant that this strategy no longer works for me & to emphasise this, I've been left with no game to play, for a long time.
I don't regret sticking with AWAM for so long, because there've been some entertaining moments. Whereas I used to think & hope that some extra-marital interaction with other adults would occur at some point, I no longer truly believe this, unless it turns out to be incest/lesbianism, or partner swapping in order to break the marriage vows & open the floodgates to a range of teen encounters. Posing in a tacky naughty nurse outfit for 2 old codgers doesn't count, IMO, whatever transpires, because it's just too unbelievable & downright silly to care about.
Unbelievability is now at the heart of AWAM. Anything can happen & frequently does, once 'porn logic' is used to justify arrant nonsense. Incest is "the only game in town" where today's average teen porn is concerned. This is as immutable as the porn logic which dictates that every so-called MILF must have breasts the size of 2 water-melons that won first prize in a fruit grower's competition. Everything must be seen to break a "taboo" (even a taboo so 'normalised' as incest, that it's almost routine) & must be grossly exaggerated, otherwise it's not teen porn & crucially it seems, not as commercially viable as it could be. It's by no means just AWAM that follows these rules but appears to be more like 99% of corruption games, laughingly billed as "adult" games. It used to be the case that AWAM had unique rules but no more.
Young people, when they become interested in porn, will tend to go with the flow of whatever is IN at the time their curiosity is aroused. Incest has been IN for most of this century, having been nowhere to be seen, when I was a teenager. I have some theoretical ideas as to why this is but they're far too controversial for this thread & may well be totally wrong. When I first got into porn, in the mid-'60s, spanking was the big thing. It was everywhere just as incest is today. Now it's very much a minority kink, as incest, in it's turn, will become, one fine day, by & by.... When I was 12 years old I tended not to attempt any psycho-social, or psycho-sexual analyses of why particular kinks thrived, (it would have spoiled the fun, hurt the brain & I didn't know what they meant) & I'm certain that's the case for the many young fans of AWAM, who, like me back then, clearly & naturally lack a broad range of sexual knowledge & experience. This applies to the behaviour of adults within the teen porn genre. So much so that, apart from being boring, (as Sophia has become, ref.L&P), their best use is as props & accessories to ensure schoolboy wish fulfilment.
That leads to the big AWAM drawback for those fans who do have certain levels of that knowledge & experience, in so far that the Dev has decided that he is not going to attempt to cater for a wide audience, or to make any attempts at realism, or class but will rather direct his efforts where he perceives the most money can be made. Having delivered, (albeit excruciatingly slowly), the product he originally advertised & created, he's decided on a new formula & chosen to retain the original well-known title of his game. It's around this time that the critics of the critics condescend to chime in with their 'well-past-it's-sell-by-date' chant of 'get lost, (or sometimes more directly, get fucked) &/or go make your own game.' Believe me, if I had the Dev's rendering ability, I would. I began by enjoying AWAM & following it keenly. When it declined, I stayed for the quality renders. Now it's only curiousity to see how bad this can get that keeps me involved.
