I wonder what I could have missed that caused the game not to allow me to access the party with Elie. When it was hacked, I got it back from her. When she broke up with her boyfriend, I took care of her on the swing. Later, I protected her at the café without taking advantage of the situation. Result: Impossible to go to the party. What's more, the walkthrough is, to say the least, stingy with information to explain what the prerequisites are. What did I miss?

Sophia/Dylan and Ellie/Dylan these 2 paths are still connected. This event is just a replacement for the date night event with Sophia, but not the Sophia/Dylan Part 1 event. Also, Dylan remembers Sophia many times during this event. So, Sophia/Ellie/Dylan threesome possible. L&P has given this option for future events.

Will we get to see the shota kids and Old farts one last time or is he going to just dismiss them as if nothing happened ? With what kind of scenario will he come up with in order to close those doors without things feeling rushed ?

In the end, 3D realism will always hit a wall. He's starting to realize that all those side-quests are TOO time-consuming, BUT, will this choice really speed up the main course? Not sure about that...

If he's smart he will drop them immediately without any final event. It isn't a good use of his time to create an event to cap off the story if his goal is to speed up development. Two events (one for each side job) may not sound like much, but they would account for another few hundred renders and for him that equates to months of work.

And like you said, even by doing that we aren't likely to improve the overall speed of development that much. So if he does cap off the stories, then any savings from removing the two side jobs won't be felt for like three more years. That's too long to wait. We need any savings right now, we can't wait for the savings to come in three (or more) years.

But we all know that nothing is really going to change.

Would love to see it but most of these games don’t let you have 3some with your girlfriend or wife and her mom, seperately sure, without either of them knowing about it. Shota, as I understand it, are men over the age of 18 that look like boys. Which is fine and I have no problems with. But that is not what is happening in the second side job. They are characters that look and act under the age of consent and most certainly under the age of 18.

As for how to corrupt Sophia without the side jobs, that's easy - Patricia. She's done more to corrupt Sophia than any other character, including Aiden. It's Patricia that gets Sophia naked for Dylan's first look at a real pussy. And gives her the courage to get naked in front of Sam (you need to do the first two Patricia events to get the last Sam event), and for Ellie to get her first kiss.

I think L&P will simply skip this paths for the time being. This would then have zero impact on the rest of the story.

One more thing, I think the risk of AWAM appearing "rushed" is negligible.

No, it's not sad. It's the best decision he's made in years. Anyone with eyes can tell you the second side job is an attempt at something likely to get L&P arrested.

Officially it's being removed to speed up development, but you can tell it's because he knows full well that with the Steam release planned, his chances of the game being removed from Steam and/or Patreon increase.

I don't give two shits about the pedo side job, but the old men side job removal is just sad.
They deserved to die after fucking that beauty.

I can see him including this in either near end AVN content or one of the so-called DLC projects...

If I'm still here and able to enjoy AWAM in the 2050's, I think I'll be fine with one or the other and get the threesome from a fan remake (because the DLC will be out in 2060+ ).

I'm not sure the first side job is going to be removed. People said it was, but when I checked the actual word from L&P, it only referred to the 2nd side job being removed.

As I mentioned some time ago, I was at the time quite angry with Dylan fans causing the Twist to be removed. But with the current arguments over plots that don't do anything to advance Sophia's corruption, I can now appreciate that the Twist was only ever really story for story's sake.

So ironically, now I have to flip and argue that it was right after all to remove the Twist, even if for the wrong reasons.
