Im still wondering why the bar scene is going to take almost 2 months to do given that the bar is a preset and the only different things are the stage which takes 5 minutes to do + add new drums and guitars, the rest is just props on top of tables.

There's 15 new background characters, lets say he did 2 a day (which is terrible but anyways).

Im wondering what the remaining 6/7 weeks are for, probably going to cure covid while he's creating scenes and rendering. It's ridiculous.

Why do you think I've been suggesting he's been draping the biker's pants around their ankles? Something pointless and stupid, completely unerotic, but classed as "artistic", perhaps even "hot". And takes a lot of time. Particularly if he's using pants that aren't designed to drape, like the yoga outfits for that event.

We have now moved onto complaining about the Subway scene, wtf?

Talcum Powder made a good point about it already, can we just move on?

At the end of the day its an adult game, do we really have to take it so serious?
I'm inclined to agree. I understand that the attempt at "realism" sets this game apart from most other games, but at some point we have to balance the attempt of realism with entertainment. I mean, let's be honest, none of this is realistic- it's just realistic in the context of a porn game. And while I mean no disrespect to L&P, he isn't writing a modern day epic novel, he's making smut. It's good smut. But it's smut. At some point this game will probably become too ridiculous for most of us and we'll miss what it could have been, but let's face it- the realism has been slipping away for a while. Either you can roll with it or it's a deal breaker. Neither option is wrong, but at some point you just gotta save your breath.

Just to double check, was there something with Minister L&P not taking another vacation for awhile?

Could've sworn it was somewhere around the beginning of working on 0.150

Its probably still more realistic then most or maybe even all other games here but I can't be sure on that 100% but I'd guess its more realistic then most especially when you add this slow burn instead of "omg I just saw this big dick and now its inside my virgin body".

I mean look at the last 2nd job event, "You teen/preteens don't know how to jerk off? Well I'll just show you, fuck it" granted she wasn't jerking them off for pleasure but for teaching but still.

Regardless its an Adult game which is why I don't see the need to take it so serious when it comes to the size of a bag, distances between places, types of clothes, or the subway event.

This is the only VN/game that I take even remotely seriously. That's because I used to read erotic novels, novellas & short stories. Eons ago I also used to enjoy erotic films. You had to look to continental Europe for those, as what came from the U.K. was mostly dross, though to be fair, so was a lot of what came out of Europe. As for the U.S., apart from one or two noteworthy exceptions, it was about as adept with eroticism as the U.K. I'm not talking about straightforward porn but about erotic cinema, i.e. real actors, proper scripts, engrossing stories & decent production values.

When AWAM began, with its' ambitious mission statement, it seemed as though we were changing up from the usual 3d porn game to something approximating the best of erotic cinema in 3d render form, or witnessing a good erotic novel in pixel form. It was captivating & this is where I started to take it more seriously than the games I'd played until then. So for a while this appeared to be a bit of a breakthrough & as I liked to think of it, "an erotic story, written by an adult for adults." That it wouldn't be ideal for me, or anybody else, was a given but for a time it really hit those markers of class, style & realism & with the familiar excellent renders.

I'm not sentimental about games. This week I deleted a range of stories that had the common denominator of having last had an update over 6 months ago. I move my patronage on Patreon to where stuff is being produced, rather than wait interminably for a creator to upload something worthwhile, if they appear to have stopped, or slowed to a crawl. It's the reason I don't support AWAM financially, though I'd be happy to do so if updates were predictably frequent.

As I've said elsewhere, I can't quite put a finger on where this game started to change into something more closely resembling the usual 3d porn game, with stereotyped characters & unlikely scenarios. Everyone, if asked, would probably have different ideas on this anyway & I don't wish to start another debate. If, however, I had to pick a point at which it's slow, subtle morphing began, then, for me, it would be the moment Sophia got her breasts out for Dylan to view. I was suddenly struck both by the ludicrousness of the situation & the sheer size of the on-show mutant mammaries. I didn't complain back then but was a trifle surprised when no-one else did. [Yes, I know I've made up for it since.... free speech etc.]. So, this was the new norm?.....Yes & then it got worse.

Since that event L&P has by turns delighted, frustrated & at times sickened me but I'm still here, largely out of curiousity but still 'serious' because I never even considered deleting AWAM in this week's overdue cull of the 'too slow' games.

I still can't believe that he has seemingly introduced a new environment and populated it with numerous characters, only for it to play a small-ish role in the overall event that it was introduced in. I don't get it. The scene looks great from what we've seen, why not make use of it and build the entire scene around it? Unless he plans on using it again in the future, this feels like a huge waste of time.

And the funny thing about the 2nd side job and reading about it on the forum is that in Two P.Ds that started on P.D. 11, The apostle achieves more with Sophia than any other males, besides Liam, from the start of P.D. 1, through "Sex-Ed" of course. And although Dylan is her Son, She applying the same "Sex-Ed" Theme with him as well, and he is nowhere even close to that level yet. This is just one example of why people are questioning the realism of AWAM. Yes, It's smut in the end, as GingerSweetGirl said, and as you point out, we shouldn't take it seriously, but L&P said his novel is based on his comments

His artwork is good, but some of the story paths do call into question of realism, which is a problem L&P created when he used these words to describe his novel. So it's only natural that people will question his reasoning behind certain scenes. IMO, He should have never used the word "Realistic" to describe his novel.

So the question here is, Do you think it's realistic that the "Apostle" achieve that level of "Sex-Ed" in two P.Ds?

Absolutely, categorically, undoubtedly Not Realistic. So glad to be able to avoid it. I'm glad you've shown that extract from L&P. It reminds us all exactly what was supposed to be going on here.

my main issue here is that I thought he had gone to a huge trouble putting that scene together but after all its just an out of the box scene, he barely touched anything
theres no reason at all to spend more than a week building that scene, unless you work 1 day per week or 1 hour per day. the more we go forward the worse it gets in terms of him being able to keep the jig up

No one is happy with the Apostles. Some of the people here don't mind the content, but I think everyone agrees that the pace of progress was insane. My feelings are well established on this scene.

The point is, the only way L&P could maintain realism while increasing the pace, would be to totally restructure the game. Instead of a day-by-day progression, he would need to shift to an event based release that jumped days and filled in the gaps with montages. So v0.150 would be something like an event on Monday, and event on Thursday, then an event on Saturday (just picking days), all of which would have sexy content. L&P would then have to explain that on Wednesday some boring, but important, exposition took place that set up the sex event on Thursday.

The thing is, this isn't a great idea either because it would still feel forced. But I don't know any other way to include the necessary sexy content the game needs, with the increased pace that he has to deliver. We can't have exposition forever and he knows it. Honestly, I wouldn't want to be in L&P's shoes right now. I think he has a really difficult balancing act.

I agree that time-lapses or skips would have been the key to advancing the novel with montages and narrations to give it a more realistic feel, but L&P's problem is the number of supporting characters and paths he has in the story. To time-lapse the events, he would have to visit each storyline and make sure it lines up with a time-lapse or skip. If it doesn't, he will have all sorts of problems, not to mention the hours he would need to review each character's storyline that interacts with Sophia. I think this is why he didn't want to time-lapse the story going forward and keep it the way it is right now.

I agree. For every problem it fixed it probably created a new one. Changing gears like this in midstream was probably just too much.

His problem is that he thought big, instead of small and grow from there. If he would have listened from the start, when people were offering this advice to him, I think he would have been in a better position. He could have kept the novel manageable for one person to handle.

Thus, why i said, most people here will be developing grey hairs by the time the sex scenes start playing out and that's only if he doesn't eventually abandon the project.
All the hair I've got left has been grey for quite a few years & for now I've still got some but as for seeing the end of this game???? I keep saying he needs to write stories & characters out, or at least put them to one side. He could use a poll, (a structured proper poll, no multiple votes but perhaps 2nd & 3rd choices?), to help gain fan acceptance of such a course. I believe he may have gone through a period where it was easier to extend the content by introducing new people & storylines, as opposed to actually writing the core stories. One result of this is that the multiple paths are too much for one person to manage in a timely manner & AWAM is now top heavy, just like Sophia. I also think there's a liklihood of abandonment in the next couple of years, if things don't change.

Surely there must come a time when L&P will see that it's in his own & the paying fans' long-term interests to start seriously pruning this running wild 'family tree?' He could even do what he promised 4 years ago & get some help, (which I say with tongue in cheek). Then again, looking at previous form......
