well i think most of us want to just power through/skip this event just start with the dylan event asap...so atleast by next week L&P will start working on next event
As opposed to the last Ellie event, which not only had full nudity, but Ellie got herself off, and all in just under half the amount of renders?Well, 290 renders is actually not that bad.
But I wonder why there are this many in a chill event.
He's saving it from becoming the new slowest dev-cycle with that amount if we're looking at raw numbers, but that's about it. 290 renders with a release around the 4th would still end up being 3.8 renders a day, which is terrible. Especially for an update without animation, so no extra work on that front.Well, 290 renders is actually not that bad.

Not trying to defend L&P here but you should take into consideration the Christmas/New year period and the fact that they moved country. Personally I enjoyed some time off during Christmas/New year so it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that L&P did the same. If they did it would've been good to let everyone know though. He's saving it from becoming the new slowest dev-cycle with that amount if we're looking at raw numbers, but that's about it. 290 renders with a release around the 4th would still end up being 3.8 renders a day, which is terrible. For comparison: 0.161 was his slowest ever with 3.4 renders a day, and that update had 2 animations (30 fps) with a total
length of 9 seconds. Animations have always caused a huge delay since their introduction to the game. With that in mind, 290 renders and no animations are a laughable amount for the time it took this time around.
All things considered, it's basically still the slowest he's ever been. Not sure if I'd call that "not bad".
Because part of it is a continuation of the Sophia/PoS event (Cliffhanger.) It was originally supposed to be only the salon event until he added to cliffhanger to it. The first 30-35% of the CS reported (87-102 renders estimate) is part of that event. So it's not an entirely chilled event.Well, 290 renders is actually not that bad.

Sure, can't really argue with that. But L&P's statement was that he couldn't work between the 22nd/23rd and 25th/26th of December due to him moving countries if I remember correctly. That on it's own was super weird as it basically meant that he was working on Christmas(?), but not the days before and after? Didn't make any sense to me. If we also take away a couple days for New Years, we'd maybe end up with a week of no progress. The progress trackers on his Patreon page were moving during the holidays, but in slow-motion. Judging by that he shot himself in the foot with his own statements, as always. Not trying to defend L&P here but you should take into consideration the Christmas/New year period and the fact that they moved country. Hope that it is not just a dream that sophia had while she passed out on Sam's bed.Because part of it is a continuation of the Sophia/PoS event (Cliffhanger.) I want the story to move on. I'm tired of seeing this event moving forward.
It'd be more of a nightmare than a dream, I wouldn't mind if it were the case though! Wake up Sophia! Wake up!!Hope that it is not just a dream that sophia had while she passed out on Sam's bed.
Me too, I just like how you called him, should be his actual name in the game!I want the story to move on. I'm tired of seeing this event moving forward.
Sophia/PoS
Oh wait, it is!Me too, I just like how you called him, should be his actual name in the game!

I think the Sophia/Sam cliffhanger is around 30 to 40 out of these 290 renders. May be a continuation of part 1. After 140 renders the Sophia.Maybe the previous update cliffhanger needs a fair bit of resolution or the Sophia/Sam morning event is short but sweet!
I agree . Plus he gave us 4 updates last year wish is good . Its high quality game with excellent renders and dialogue ( and story of course). Not trying to defend L&P here but you should take into consideration the Christmas/New year period and the fact that they moved country. Lampshade theory is another and it will be my head cannon.Has anyone ever thought about the cliffhanger of the last version, instead of philosophizing about how many pictures are in the next version and how long L&P needs per picture or the whole game will be finished. I think this is not worth investing time in. It takes as long as it takes! You never know what technical advances will make it easier and faster. I can well imagine that soon good AI supported programs could speed up some things here but this is all theoretical. If we are realistic and it goes on like this the game will never be finished.
I enjoy it as long as I can!
There are so many reasons and possibilities why it will be cancelled that it is not worth thinking about what will be in 2-20 years.
I am much more interested in the next version.
I suspect that Sophia will be saved in the last second by the doorbell or the telephone. That maybe Dylan asks for Sofia because they have a hairdresser appointment.
Are there other theories?
