You've just made a demo, got a good chunk of support and hype, no need to throw away that momentum because of a hypothetical limit that you might never even reach
you CAN break up your game in parts,and make save transfer/import function. it had been done in the past in ACE,dunno about MV,but my guess there are script system made for that,idk.
the only problem,you can only remove map events and maps(not common events),you cannot delete/change database(items,characters,assets,variables) i.e. persistent stuff,becuase game fetching ids,for example: ID 1 - Suck dick,then you suck dick,get variable. in part 2 you delete it/change to "Kiss" when importing it will have Variable ID1 "1",so it will treat it as "kiss 1" rather than "suck dick 1"
also you must leave importing area in the game untouched.
