For example, this slang is not translated meaningfully into German by deepL

„Is the girl going to have the urge to jump his bones now?”;)
1. The translation would be from German to English.
2. Anything like that is easy to fix manually.

And you're right. Of course, the market is full of English native speakers who can write and talk on college level and can also perfectly speak German with all its phrasing, and moreover have always dreamed about helping to translate a porn game with some "precarious topics"! Plus who can manage to be continuously available for around 2 weeks for a 10 hours live chat, day by day! It's just that there are so many of them that I can't pick out one, you know? I could only find monolingual English native speakers who're of course outnumbered because almost all of them can also speak perfectly German, because it's standard for Americans and Britains today. So, until now I got help only from some american misfits who, you won't believe it, can indeed only speak English perfectly and not German too. There's one of these misfits who helps me with the grammar and correction stuff via Discord which I translated myself with the help of translation and context programs.
Actually yes, the market is full of german-english professional translators.

There are many websites like this one

Look this example:

"Born and raised in Germany by an (US-) American father and a German mother, I have been speaking both German and English from birth. I moved to the United States at the age of 22, now living here in beautiful Utah. In the now 12 years in the workforce I have translated documents/content countless times, both from English into German, as well as German into English..."

Also, anybody knows why L&P wants someone that

?
Why not just write all the text in german and send it to the translator? He could translate it in a matter of hours, isn't like the updates are that big. If L&P have doubts he could talk to the translator, but why L&P wants a permanet live chat with him? Anybody understands that?

Just to pile on, who but the poorest grammarian is going to have the temerity to mix tenses like that now?

Break, Break. Just a note. I would like to Apologize for getting all ranty yesterday about Jets. Totally my bad.

Now back to the coliseum and the feeding of contributors to the lions.

No idea? What is wrong? By the way... I don’t like your avatar. It is repulsive and childish
I've already posted a couple of times here about translation and even have a family member that does translations as their full time career, and has for several years now, and I have specifically expressed my appreciation for the challenges that arise from slang and colloquialisms.

I wasn't intending to make fun of the sentence you put forward for translation, I was piling on the fact that even correct english can be problematic in translation and doubly so when one writes things that are grammatically incorrect but read, or I guess would sound, correct, if spoken. It wasn't funny, I missed the mark, I move on.

As for my avatar, it's my first attempt at envisioning Dylan as I'd like to see him. I may have missed the mark with that, too. I'll give it some thought.

L&P tells very little about future events in the game, only in general terms. Probably his requirements are related to the fact that he does not send the entire text to anyone for translation, but carries out the translation himself. He needs a person who is constantly in touch to consult when he has questions during work. I believe this is the case.

which is wrong in my opinion.

why do the simultaneous translation and modify it in the course of work?
when the German text is final you send it for translation, and in the meantime you execute the art in photoshop; then if a small retouching should become necessary it would not take more than 1-2 days.
The point where we go around here is always the same: organization of work
moreover, it could also release the game with only the German language and then insert the translation in English, and possibly in other languages, with subsequent patches.
many developers do this
