Wondering if he's gonna isolate the three from the party and focus on them, or rather create multi-character scenes. That might significantly increase the scenes creation time...

Would be a rather crappy slumber party with just the three of them. I would assume at least a half dozen girls. I'm more curious who else is going to be there like Elena or Melanie.
And if Christine's boyfriend is going to be there. I assume the event only happens if Ellie doesn't forgive Logan, so I doubt he'll be there.

I've been taking a 'semi-sabbatical' from the AWAM threads. Despite playing from PD2 in 2018, I kept getting told that if I wasn't into incest & didn't want a teenage virgin schoolboy as an MC, then it wasn't the game for me & that I should basically shut up & bugger off. I may well do so again after this lengthy comment, because AWAM as it is now is definitely not the game for me. That's in addition the fact that for those who find incest non-erotic, there's no game to play. I have to content myself with having played Part 1, when Sophia looked proportionate for most of the time, her son hadn't taken over as the real MC & it was possible to avoid, dodge &/or ignore the incest content...which I absolutely knew would be present & never advocated against. To each their own. There was enough game for everyone in the way it was originally scripted.
Disclaimer before continuation: I didn't play the Dylan updates but have understood the story through the teasers/spoilers. Too many spoilers is another noticeable AWAM alteration.
Part 2 has made it clear that there've been winners & losers amongst the AWAM faithful. Those who signed, or pirated up, to play a game, (OR in those far off days, follow a VN, as it was then), about a mature, beautiful, sophisticated, renaissance woman becoming gradually corrupted have lost out. AWAM was billed as having a female MC. There's a clue to who the story was supposed to be about in the title, i.e. "A Wife & Mother." First word "A," singular, referring to one person, object, (Sophia has certainly become an object), or thing. There's only one MC who can be a wife & mother, unless Dylan is in for some unwelcome changes. Supporting characters were & are essential, of course, including Dylan. They were/are all part of the bigger story.
Realism, (or a realistic veneer) & class were promised & for a while delivered, both of which have disappeared, along with the promise to hire a team. Fans who valued their inclusion have lost out. Now the "Hey it's just a porn game" brigade are accurate in their description, because the Dev chose to make it so. Even some porn stories have a sense of continuity & coherence, however, which are two other elements that vanished, courtesy of the slow roll-out pace & event-based updates. So the 'it's just a porn story' faction are winners? Really? This is a porn story that's lasted 6+ years & the (so-called) MC has only had penetrative sex with her husband. Porn stories don't do that. No, honestly, they never do that, unless it might be an attempt to be the slowest porn story in the whole history of porn, which goes back thousands of years & in a published form, back to the 15th century.
Fans who hoped that Sophia would have affairs, liaisons, one-night-stands etc., with adults her own age, or a few years older or younger, (including men, as opposed to potentially just adult women), have lost out. Sophia has difficulty in forming relationships with adults & is constrained to fall back on a huge cast of teens. Hence the reason this is now "average teen porn." Age gaps aren't the problem they could be, because in the presence of handsome male teens, her mind regresses back to when she was 16, or less. It turns out that reciting a litany of sickly sweet compliments are all that's required to lull Sophia's adult brain into a semi-comatose state. If Andy ever partner swaps with Liam, you can believe that it won't amount to anything except another means to weaken the marital bonds, making it easier for the virgins to "conquer" [re. L&P's own term] Sophia, for a hefty dose of schoolboy wish fulfilment. That is what AWAM is all about & the target audience must make good business sense, because whatever L&P is, he's not stupid.
Anyone doubting that this project is aimed at a youthful clientele only has to look at the 2 breast enlargements that Sophia has had since Part 2 began. She's back to how she looked in the changing cubicle with Dylan at the mall, (airbag top-heavy), thanks to those who believe a MILF must be huge around the chest measurement. [She used to be the same size as Patricia but now must be twice as big. Have the renders & text of Part 1 been altered to reflect these inflations?] Basketball, swimming, jogging, gym visits, yoga, not forgetting a busy lifestyle, all militate against mammoth mammary glands but did I mention that there's no realism left? Dylan, no doubt, wants to suckle at his mother's breasts, which he considers perfect. That's going to have to be after he's made her pregnant with his own son/brother/daughter/sister, because guess what, the massage techniques to bring on lactation are not likely to work, or is that too much realism? There've been enough hints that the aforementioned kinks are on the horizon. Those are fantasies that will disintegrate the split second that Sophia goes into labour. Sophia & Dylan living on free love & fresh air, (no more Liam... how much was the settlement?), will soon fall apart BUT that's at least 20 years into the future, so why worry?

As for the side jobs, they should both definitely go. When it comes to Aiden being written out...what would you call a character who's not due to appear until the calendar year 2029/30? This is AWAM, remember.

I don't believe we have reliable information that this will be a short update, only that it should be smaller than Sophia/Dylan Part 1. Which was 416 renders. A 400 render event would still technically be a smaller event, even though it would be bigger than anything we've had on the Ellie route so far.
I think Dylan's hope here lies more with Christine. Even if nothing much happens between Dylan and Christine themselves, she can indirectly give Ellie a new perspective on Dylan. I could well imagine that L&P will continue on the same path as before and give Dylan a chance to show himself as a supportive or protected person.
It is difficult to speculate about the content of the next update without a preview. For L&P tendencies with scenes involving water, I could imagine the group deciding to go in the pool together in their underwear, ... Alternative, since we just had an event with water, I could also imagine that there is a sauna at the party, ...
I'm hoping for a twist, too. At some point, an risky ewent has to be seen by someone else. The whole story would then have a lot of possibilities for entanglements and for more connected events in the future. For example, what if Dylan can observe one of the events between Ellie and Sophia. This could then also give Dylan progress with Ellie that would otherwise not be possible.
Sofia's craving for water will lead to a remake of the game in 3 parts)))
