It could have just been a facepalm, but then you might have assumed it was about contradicting the legitimate criticism of L&.
I absolutely would have done. 'It's (relatively) easy to criticise" but it's easier still to criticise a critic, especially with a passive/aggressive facepalm kneejerk reaction. There's a lack of understanding evident in some comments on this thread, following my often deliberately provocative postings. I get sick of the "when's the sex starting?," "when's the next update?," questions etc., although I'd defend those commentators rights to post them. Forums as busy as this demand to be kept lively, with a range of views & questions. This is especially so in light of the Dev's choice to be sparing in his communications.

I do write sarcastically but also, (I like to think), while preserving some sense of humour regarding what is, after all, just a game. It's not as important as say, football (soccer), when it comes to entertainment. I want the Dev to appreciate that there are dissenting voices amongst the fanbase, or ex-fanbase in this case.
'What he started 6 years ago & proceeded to create imaginatively was great, now it's not,' would be a simpler way to convey my thoughts but that would be boring. (Yes, I also know many supporters are bored by my commentary but that's free-ish speech for you. Without naming names, the feeling is probably mutual). Speaking of free speech, I always attempt to maintain a relative level of politeness. What I really think of the latest developments would be unacceptable to state here, unprintable in polite society & could see me suspended again.
How what I say "doesn't gain any truth," I'm not sure. Does repetition, whether sarcastically delivered or not, make it not so? Where physical characteristics are concerned, I do object strongly to these being radically altered part way through proceedings, even during an event. I've only played one other corruption game, (maybe 8 years ago), where this occurred & it was specifically written into the story as the result of plastic surgery. [That time, I & others were successful in having the alteration installed as a game choice for players. Result... satisfaction all round]. Other AWAM-inspired games such as Project Myriam & Mrs Denvers began with top-heavy, simplistically stereotypical "Mom" figures. I don't play those two now but the MC's breasts are so huge that there shouldn't, presumably, be a need to expand but what if some young fans want them inflated some more?
Sophia always had a large bust & a well-rounded figure but crucially, she was both proportionate & elegant. Sports & exercise activities she's shown as undertaking, which I've listed elsewhere several times, should preclude her from having mammoth mammaries. Those things exist because kids like them & sod the 'realism.' Someone with her money would pay to have them reduced IMO. I've had partners similarly endowed who wished they'd had the funds to do exactly that. Perhaps most fans have never spent an 'interesting' day looking for a dealer/fitter/tailor in specialist bras? I have.
As for Dylan & his reverse "Dorian Grey" effect, we have someone who began the game looking about 10-11 years old. That he had to 'age up' in order to clear the barriers of DoL & (possibly) Steam, I'm well aware of but why then go too far? Someone who looked like Dylan, (or Sam), would have some problems with girls, (as we all do, or did) but certainly none greater than the ordinary teens of their generation & they would be nothing to do with physical attraction. We're talking looks & talent, above the average. Unless things have radically altered since I was a teenager, that's a good combination to attract the opposite sex, not forgetting opportunities to leave virginity behind. Why pretend that for these 2, different rules apply? Why no or few girlfriends? Was it all just so Dylan 'needed' sex education? Except, that for Dylan, at least, his newly chiselled appearance has turned him into Mr. Cool & Confident, King of the San Alejo nightclub scene, able to face down clubbers & display his mother's arse to the room. [Almost 20 years in nightclubs throughout the land & I've never seen that done]. What a man/athlete/boy. It's not so much "Dorian Grey," more "Jekyll & Hyde." If there was a problem with Dylan & Sam's original looks, there's no wonder the shota will have to go before a Steam launch. It's departure may have little to do with 'speeding up.'
Sophia, Dylan & Sam have all had noticeable alterations to their characters, which I would contend are, if anything, even more unrealistic, in Sophia & Dylan's cases, than their physical changes. Sophia has become progressively more bimbo-brained in the presence of handsome teenagers, oddly, it seems, in direct proportion to her helium intake. She's an inflated object & little else. Sam has the super-power of 'hidden talents,' while Dylan has become an adult, in everything but actual age.
This inevitably leads to the question of retcon & retro-fitting, of which AWAM now contains a fair amount. Are we going to see Dylan & Sam retro-fitted to look as they do now? It's been years for us but only months for them. Am I the only one who finds that radical changes to a character's looks, (along with many other AWAM developments), destroys immersion? If so, I'll happily exist in a minority of one, because that's what I experience as a result. Considering Sophia, who used to have a similar breast size to her sister when seen together, is she now to be shown several sizes bigger from the start? I doubt it, it would be too much work.
So, with so many alterations to the game, I'll continue in the view that AWAM has been spoiled. Happy playing to those fans who still find this great.
