Not at all. I am very for the relation building aspect of the game and while the scene as a whole does that well, that part of the scene seemed fairly superfluous. As stated elsewhere, I'd be totally happy with this game going many more episodes without a sex scene, but the pacing of certain scenes, like that one, feels off to me. I'm all for those scenes as long as they're well written, but that piece of dialogue felt like reading the intro to a "here's how you play the guitar"-book, which isn't that interesting. Again, I think this game and update is probably the best game out there and because of that I'm very critical about the things that stick out as not good enough.

The scene was too long, not just for a porn game, for ANYTHING short of an actual actual music lesson. You don't do this when telling a story. When you see a character in a TV show, or movie, or a book, learning to fight with a sword, you don't see the WHOLE process. You don't watch/read every hand grip, every slash, every parry. This is a waste of time, for the author, for the viewer, for everyone.

From his wording it looks like he is going to reduce the amount of dialogue and scenes of casual moments which means he might cut the length of (some of ) these scenes greatly or cut them altogether. But if you like those kind of scenes the current length of them does not feel long at all and the dialogue is not really that long, I would say they are around the minimum length that is necessary for such scenes to not make them feel rushed. You can be sure those who complain about the length do not read to many books and have a very short attention span.

Explaining in detail how the guitar works. Showing several chords with several render changes and sounds going with them. For me as a musician who does know how to play guitar it was mildly funny, but ultimately boring as it was so basic. For someone who's not into the guitar or musical theory it must have been just nonsense. I appreciate that he wanted to showcase their mutual love and knowledge of music, but it could have been done with a much shorter summary of what we saw in that part. It felt more like the child/teen versions of "a musician explains a musicial concept to five different levels of advancement"-videos that some music mag puts on youtube than anything else.

The reason Sophia went Sam's house was the guitar-lesson so it would be very strange and unnatural if there would have been little focus on that. And how long was the guitar-lesson explanation really? Just a few cords and the basic lay-out of a guitar, even if you are a slow reader it could not have taken you more than 3 minutes.

The point of that scene was not to teach us about playing a guitar, it helps to make us capable of seeing Sam as something more than just the pervy friend of Dylan and it works as a bridge to the more explicit sexual content that follows the lesson. I really don't think any of the scenes that followed would have worked (for me) if the dev would have cut the length of the guitar lesson since that would bring it in "Lilly of the Valley" territory where really the dev does not even try to make of the characters and their actions anything else than just bland and unintelligent vehicles to the sex scenes.

I already said that some scenes in the last update were long.
Like, maybe he could have cut 20-30 renders. But text-wise? In the narrative? It was a hell of a show.
And people here are complaining not because the narrative is boring... but because they want sex, they want naughtiness right now.

I think some people, note some, just didn't read the page like I did. First this is an adult game. Any average Joe is thinking cool an adult game it must mean I'm gonna get a good fap. Then you read takes place over 30 days. Shouldn't have too much of a build up then should it? Granted some is acceptable, but it's not too drawn out. Finally the amount of renders.
