After that last scene with Sophia/Ellie/Julia, I don't know how you could keep the storylines separated unless L&P has a plan for the reader to choose between Sophia/Ellie or Ellie/Julia? So he may take it further with Alyssa, but how far? She doesn't have that many scenes like Ellie. So I'm sort of confused about that one.
I completely agree that we don't need to jump to such conclusions as there was no external pressure exerted on me, I genuinely think he's cutting back in subtle ways the planned content. Not severe enough cuts to see stories disappear altogether, but probably enough to cause some continuity issues for the more attentive readers.

Yeah, but if DLC is his answer to cutting back content, That's the wrong approach, period. I think removing characters that are one-and-done would have been the right call. Do you need the Mailman if you have the first side job? Do you need the Janitor and Principal? What kind of role have they played with Sophia's emotions? What about the personal trainers? And I know people aren't going to like this, but what about the museum kids? Most of these scenes are one-and-done scenes. He should have made these adjustments before he got this far.
I know that it does not help much but the museum kids are supposed to be a one off then gone as for the janitor he has a role to play,what role or how big is unknown but you probably know all of this already.
The weak point is CS and L&P knows it. And within this process we find the problem: the text. It's not even the translation, he doesn't even have the script in German.
4 years old can be considered to still somewhat be in its infancy when you take into account the current estimated completion of this game to be decades away.
It is why that if you assume Sophia and Liam are going to separate on one or more of the Filthy Routes (not guaranteed but likely unless Liam enjoys being a cuckold), then if you were to evaluate the characters we have met already and spent time with so far, Alyssa is the most likely to become a serious long-tern relationship.
That's just it. The CS is based on the text/outline of the novel, and the story is based on 79+ characters that have interactions with Sophia. So you have to create a scene for about every interaction with the support character. Especially characters that have no influence whatsoever. A prime example is this scene.

But half of those dozen renders were setting up the kids to stay at Patricia and Carl's, which got them out of the house for Liam/Sophia/Neil to watch the American football match in the evening, and also setting up that Dylan had soccer next morning (where if I remember correctly Sophia first met Alyssa) and Ellie was having Julia and Elena round to pool, which set up the Ellie/Julia and subsequent Ellie/Julia/Sophia kissing scenes.
Yes, but that could have been told through narrations. I didn't need to see her sitting at the dental office having that conversation. So it wasn't a scene that influenced anything.
Yes, it appears to be two renders used. But how many renders did he make up for the event and did he narrow his choice down to two? We don't know.
There is no one else in game, that could be a suitable long term relation for Sophia is her and Liam separated. Patricia and Carl would take in Sophia and kids in a heartbeat if they needed somewhere to live. And I doubt Carl would object to having sexual fun with Sophia.
