Well... I guess if you see a couple of pigs flying by your window it's a big hint an update might be coming. This game is hilarious. Got I hope the dev continues it. Is it really abandoned?
no ,it's a pity, the little sis is really cute, one of best sisCan you fuck little sister yet?
Bless your soul for using "yet" in your post. I applaud your confidenceCan you fuck little sister yet?
Wow, You quite a optimistic fellow ain't you.I think it's more an issue of sunk cost, avoidant mentality, and either hopefulness or self delusion, depending on how charitable you want to be.
I suspect the dev of this game (and other games in similar states) had high hopes for it initially. Clearly he put a ton of work into it. At some point, his hopes and/or enthusiasm for the game dimmed, or real life got in the way, or *something*.
In any case, he can't bring himself to work on it, but he also can't bring himself to totally give up on it.
So now it's a zombie game, where it's being "worked on", but the dev can't find the time, motivation or energy to actually put in the hours he needs to in order to meet expectations (including his own expectations).
Honestly, I'm pretty sympathetic to all of this. None of it excuses the long, unannounced absences with the Patreon still taking money, or the dev's other behavior. I can understand how a dev might fall into this rut, and it sucks, but at this point I've given up on it.
I'd be *more hopeful* if the dev could be honest enough to himself to put the game properly on hold, since then he might be able to recharge or get things otherwise sorted, and come back to it with the energy he needs. But right now, it's an albatross around his neck.
I expect at some point it will get too much to bear, and the dev will disappear from the internet. Either that, or he'll gather enough awareness about what's going on to push out one final burst of effort, and we'll get a final update or two that fastforward to the conclusion.
The problem is there IS a chance. You can't say for certainty it won't. The Dev has never publicly stated it's canned and if prompted he does imply that work is aobut to start back up soon..... but that's been a year now since his patreon went dead and since then all we've had is a few posts here and there. Actions speak louder than words. A Dev who was previously quite good with interactions has cut all that back so you can't tell if it will start back up. Best option is to hold off and avoid wasting money. No chances that game will be finished? I found it on Steam. But i will not buy unfinished and abandoned product...
the problem currently is it might finish. This isn't a case of the Dev just fucking disappearing into the ether with all our money. He's over there, doing his own thing. He SAYS he's working on it but actions speak louder than words but he could end up being visited by 3 ghosts one night and wake up with a reinforced desire to develop the game again.Still wanting this to finish.
Where's the Dev saying he's working on it?the problem currently is it might finish. This isn't a case of the Dev just fucking disappearing into the ether with all our money. Oh probably then, my point being he's still kicking about and hasn't explicitly mentioned it's dead so there's a chance albeit small it'll be worked on again.Where's the Dev saying he's working on it?
He hasn't posted on Discord or Patreon or F95 since the 4th of March.
I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say.Oh probably then, my point being he's still kicking about and hasn't explicitly mentioned it's dead so there's a chance albeit small it'll be worked on again.
Highly unlikely but it's not your normal dev drops off the face off the earth style abandonment.
On the page before this someone showed a discord screenshot from a couple of month ago saying he's still working on it.I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say.
He said he was back to work and then complete radio silence for over 7 months now. That was his only post since the steam launch over 12 months ago.
He might be working on it, but I'd definitely say he dropped off the face of the earth.
Oh ok, I missed that. I was only checking announcements on his discord ( last one was March). On the page before this someone showed a discord screenshot from a couple of month ago saying he's still working on it.
The message is dated the twelfth of august.
Dude should have put that message on patreon not everyone uses discord, and it just makes people trust other devs less when shit like this happens.Oh ok, I missed that. I was only checking announcements on his discord ( last one was March).
Just checked it again and in the discussion he has been commenting (so I stand corrected and take back what I said). Latest comment is a few weeks agos, that it is onhold indefinitely.
