Just wanted to throw this out there. It's from today. Personally, if Mundo actually banned that person that's a low blow
That's my account. I was definitely banned. It was... pretty unexpected.

I absolutely *had* been a patron, by the way. Not sure if he was lying about that, or just mistaken somehow. I unpledged during the months of no development and total silence, of course.

For what it's worth, Mundo did DM me a little while later, and talked to me... civilly, at least. I told him I thought banning me was an overreaction, and that he had owed his patrons either better communication, or a pause for the Patreon page. He didn't have a ton to say to that, but I give him some amount of credit for letting me say it and not... blocking me again or whatever.

Maybe even sharing that much is a breach of private communication, but he banned me and misled people about my previous patronage without giving me a chance to respond, so I'm not feeling super charitable.

I had been reconsidering re-pledging after an update or two, if things looked like they were back on track. Obviously that's out the window now, lol.

I'm still a fan of the game and will play future updates (if there are any). I'm even sympathetic to how a developer might feel overwhelmed, and wind up not handling the Patreon campaign in a responsible way.

But I feel like if you want to come back to developing the game after ghosting your patrons like that, you have to be willing to own up to it. Apparently that's too much to ask.

FWIW I see this a very mature and reasonable take on the whole thing. You're right, he's in the wrong, and you handled it with kindness, compassion and understanding. I literally got a dopamine hit from this lol kudos

sadly games being abandoned is part of the fu part of the deal with visual novels. Whether he continues now or in the future, I am out. It was a fun story while it lasted, but it got to be more and more confusing as it went along, but this isn't the reason I have given up playing this game. It was because updates where taking an age to arrive, unlike when he first started. Sure it's his choice to decide how long he wants to spend on develop in each update, but it's the ghosting I don't like. He has probably made a fair bit of money from patreon, and come to the conclusion he probably doesn't really know what to write next in the story, given how confusing it got.
The game can be fixed with a remastering, but I somehow don't think his patrons would like that idea too much given the large intervals between development cycles and also given the story isn't exactly all that far in.

The female characters where really cute especially the mom and his younger sister. I think it was inevitable this would be conclusion, it being abandoned. I hope I am wrong, and I hope he can fix the game, so he can carry on making updates that don't take an age to do and release.

it might be a stalker behavior, but I checked your messages on his discord, and what I read was kindness, respectful, and understanding messages. which makes him banning you much worse!
.
I literally have no idea how you managed to make a mature response after banning you for wishing him the best of luck.

I just come for the lewds, story is beyong quirky, feels like it became convoluted. Luckily the renders made skipping to fun parts still worth while. A lot of games have been playing with the render style so often and making so many changes to the characters if it werent for their names you wouldnt know who they are supposed to be.

So I liked to assume one day the story would start making sense again and I could do both. With the big A tag, I may never know. I would shake my head but that feels over the top at this point, plus it makes the text dance which makes me queazy.

"I will continue soon", so basically even now he still has no fkin idea on where to go with the game and that's why things are on hold. When he finally gets an idea for the next update, he will start working on it but nobody even dev himself as of now has any idea on when this "soon" will happen.
Mundo's definition of soon is different than that of a normal human.

So he simply just LIED in his last patreon post on MARCH where he said development was "ramping up again!"
Yeah.... funny that eh? I don't understand how he can't grasp how damaging this is? Like he's lost half his subs since the start of the year.

The game is on Steam, and it usually comes up in sales every other month...games that are on Steam usually always out-do whatever most smaller dev's make on Patreon.
