Pretty much every complaint I had about the previous updates and the uber melodrama. Yup. It continues. I hate to say it but there was a great game in here that was ruined by wanting to be a thriller halfway through. I know that hte story was planned out from the get go. And I know it's personal I get all of that.

It's just not a good story. Not anymore. All we really got here was another generic villain added to the mix.

Seriously, this entire game turned into a Soap Opera. And a pretty bad one at that.

Oh and let me cut off some of the usual responses before they even begin:

1. "Life is so REAL bro. You never see what's coming, and it's ain't all happiness!"
- Yeah sure, and life isn't a constant stream of misery coming from the most ridiculous places at random times either. This game WAS actually realistic, for the most part at some point. But anyone claiming that this game is in any way realistic has lost all grounds for that claim once

2. "Porn games aren't all about fapping, bro" or "It's just a porn game bro, why expect it to make sense?"
- Well yes. But getting a good balance, while hard, is definitely key. And you judge a game based on what it presents itself as.

3. "You felt something, that means he succeeded."
- No. No. And 1000 times no. You can feel a lot of things when you consume a work of art. Even bad art. Even art that has major structural problems, or horrible dialog, or makes no sense. I feel joy when watching House of the Dead because it's just THAT BAD! But it doesn't mean that it's good. AL succeeded at first because it had characters that you came to care about and a story that worked. It had a tragedy, it had emotion it had drama. And it destroyed almost all of it away over two updates.

At the end of the last chapter I was a little put off with the direction they were taking this, but now that I've had to time to let it settle and with this chapter dropping, it really has been pretty great. I've gone through so many emotions, and while I kind of just want this to be a trashy porn game, we have so many of those and i'm happy it's trying to be something different. Though I do think the twist at the end of this episode is maybe borderline silly (feels like it needed a little more subtext with the character in earlier scenes, or had a longer time for the reveal to make us slightly suspicious of said character so it was more believable), I'm still looking forward to where they take it.

It's really quite great and can be pretty touching, shocking, and sad at times, even if Liam does say 'Bro' way too much.

Its one of those reveals that blindsides you, but when you think back after the fact, you can see ALL the signs that lead up to this. Its done really well in my opinion.

Oh look, we talked about random stupid drama, but this episode is just a 1000% increase of that on a 10 minute update. Gratz, you have managed to make me not give a shit about the game. The amount of suspension of disbelief required for this is on a level now that cant be reached for me.

I guess I will check the ending if I see it in the "Latest updates" section or something.

What the fuck lmao

I think that dev should create Alternative reality spinoff, that starts at the beginning of camper trip and show us the characters adventures around the world, visiting different places and doing some crazy, funny stuff with a little comedy vibe like we had in 1-5 episodes.

I have NEVER understood when people does this. He was nervous because he knew that it was kind of stupid, but still went with it because "Muh vision" Its Blizzard all over again oh fuck me in the ass. :idontcare:

It just makes a few dialogue changes and +/- extra scenes, but the overall plot is predetermined. You would really enjoy the game more if you treat it with a bit more care than the usual fuck everything that moves game. I usually revel in debauchery, but couldn't bring myself to play like that with this game. I just tried to behave like a normal human in any given situation that is presented.
