I know it's hard to believe, but I got into AVN worlds because I'm a fan of adventure games, especially those from LucasArts and Sierra. Around 2018, on a forum specialized in adventure games, due to the lack of games in this style, some people started recommending this game (Acting Lessons) which, despite being adult, had adventure elements.

The first time I played, it was incredible. I chose a girl, felt sad, but loved the game. But I naively thought it would be like a Sierra game. I thought, this must be the sad ending. The happy ending would be making the nurse happy and avoiding the store clerk.

The first sign that things wouldn't be like that was when Megan showed up at my house, even though I did the opposite of what I did the first time. Well, I tolerated it. I was always kind to the nurse. I thought I was succeeding. But when, out of nowhere, both of them ended up sleeping in my bed, I realized that the game didn't give us much control.

I fucking hate fake choices in these kind of games.

And in this particular game the main plot is basically predetermined.

Let's say that, giving or taking, 2 out of 3 choices are fake ones.

Been awhile can anyone explain the netorore part of the game?
Well, I don't know if it applies, but if you take the definition to the extreme, I believe that...

Netori
The element of netori in "Acting Lessons" is exemplified by the case of Rena. The MC has the option to become romantically involved with Rena, who is in a tumultuous and complicated relationship with Jake. In this case, the protagonist acts as the "seducer" or "thief," interfering in the pre-existing relationship between Rena and Jake.

Netorare (NTR)
The element of netorare can be seen in some routes and choices in the game, especially regarding the character Melissa. If you choose not to develop a relationship with Melissa, it is possible that she might become romantically involved with Liam. In this scenario, the player might feel that Melissa was "stolen" from him by another character.
