Have to say the build up and main story was pretty good, then the ending is just needlessly bad. Completely ruined the game and made it feel like a complete waste of time.

I don't know if it's because the creator is a bad writer or just trying to play on the heartstrings a bit - but it fell flat and didn't have any effect other than to make me frustrated.

Hi, I'm playing this game for the first time today and after only 30 minutes of playing I have to say that this will be a wonderful game to play... Can I ask a question? Which is the best "path"? Athletic, charismatic or well read?

Oof...

As much as this game is really well made and i the story is truly beyond anything i ever played, i probably won't touch it again. It hit too close to home. Lost people to cancer. Lost friends to accidents. Made many wrong decisions that will haunt me for the rest of my days. It make me anxious and ill.

Now don't mind me, i really loved the game. But i play the forget my mistakes, not to be remembered of them.

The game is well written for me... Yes I don't like the ending but not all games can finish with a good ending right? I cried a lot yes but if one game give this kind of emotions I call it a masterpiece

So I just finished playing it... Great writing, during the game all I wanted was to have good times with Liam and protec Melissa AT ALL COSTS. I was loving it right up until the end and then it fell kinda flat to me.

So yeah, I obviously loved most of this game and cared about it enough to write this huge post... I'll look forward to whatever this dev makes next, even if there were some fundamental flaws that stopped me from wholeheartedly appreciating it.

There was some emotional pandering and a few times the twists felt a little forced, but the bottom line to me with good storytelling more than anything else is whether I connect with the characters and care about them. On that level, it did that so it's good writing overall. The characters are relatable and unique in different ways that so far are MUCH stronger and more nuanced than the characters in the creator's new game at the college. (to be fair, only one episode for that one but in this game right away in the first episode I could tell the characters were going to be good) The fact that so many people that have played this game (I believe anyway) cared about the characters speaks as to the effectiveness of that writing, and for those that felt nothing for the characters, certainly nothing wrong with that but writing can't realistically impact 100% of readers.
