VN Ren'Py Completed Acting Lessons [v1.0.2] [DrPinkCake]

Pretty much the reason I'm actually posting now, haven't tried Acting Lesson yet (downloading it right now), but played the 4 episodes of Being a DIK, and damn, it's weird playing such a game where I don't have the urge to 'you know what' (even though the scenes are very well done, and characters are just damn beautiful), that I play for the story and the character development... there were some situations that really twisted me inside.

You won't regret it.

I know exactly what you mean, I got so invested in the story and characters (even the ones I thought I wouldn't like) that all the sexy stuff came as a very, very nice bonus!

It sounds like Being a DIK has some similar heart wrenching moments, I can't wait!

Actually no... at least no yet... in comparison BaDik, doesnt have any major dark moments Yet...
Nor does it have the ability to Smash someone up good and proper. Its very much a Fantastic VN, dont get me wrong.

On the other hand AL has serious gutwrench factor and a Very POWERFUL story. In Addition it has something that is lacking in a lot of vns... Loving, caring and Loveable Stars, that warm your heart.

So much so, you get emotional about it.

You'll need to complete multiple playthroughs. There's a link to a walkthrough on the original post which explains the criteria for each of the endings (its at the very end of the walkthrough)

Most of the gallery scenes can be unlocked by saving just before making a choice and then reloading to pick a different one, except the scenes in Episode 8 which depend on your choice in Episode 6

But damn, I understand what people meant by 'emotional rollercoaster'. Tried to do a 'perfect' playthrough, ie to get all the scenes, but somehow understood, at some point, that consequences would -really- come back later, unlike other games...

To be totally honest, didn't even care about the naughty stuff, I just wanted the story to go further.

Megan was great, Rena too, but Melissa, damn... I really have a soft spot for 'tortured souls/broken people', fell for her instantly, just wanted her to feel... I don't know, loved, cared for.

Oh, and Liam is awesome.

On a side note, is it me or are there similarities in some characters from AL and BaDIK, physically ? Like Rena/Jill and Ana/Josy ?

Anyway, the kind of game I'll probably only play once, but I sure will remember.

You're right in the sense that there, indeed, are multiple endings, and I shouldn't let the writing quality go away.

But, it took a toll on me, woke up during the night because of the choice I had to make. (damn serious about that)

Really reminds me of the 1st 4 episodes of BaDIK, some of the things happening are really relatable, characters are 'possible', and I've actually known some like them. (like Melissa, for example, the exact reason I kind of fell for her in the first point)

Saw some people reviewing those games, saying there are many 'cliché', but life is about 'cliché' happening, rarely you go anywhere or meet anyone anymore that you don't expect some things to happen like you've 'seen' happening elsewhere. It's just how it is, and I think DrPinkCake really nails his storytelling... (that's why I can't wait what will happen with BaDIK, it's already great, and shit didn't even really hit the fan still)

Let's just say I'll simply forget the last thing I wrote on my previous post, about playing it only once, it won't have the same effect it had, but yeah, I owe it to DrPinkCake to at least try the other routes.

Damn. I did not realise there are 22 endings. So far I have only played through the game a few times, and almost every time I gravitate towards the "good-guy" ending. With that in mind, I will probably play through the game and see what the different endings are (box of tissues in hand, damn this guy really knows how to tug at the heartstrings).

Hands down one of the very best, if not the very best VN game I have ever had the privilege to enjoy. My hat goes off to DrPinkCake for making such a fine masterpiece. Keenly awaiting BaDIK to continue in its development, and see where DPC takes us in that game.

I just wish to thank the creator of this gem, just played it by curiosity, now 6 hours later I'm writing this while feeling all fuzzy and teared up inside. Damn, it was some time since a game made me cry, never thought it would be a "porn" game of all cases xD. Just kudos to you good sir, thanks for the treat
