Normal procedure when encountering those, is to report Post 1 and give which exact link you tried and have not working as reason.

Ok I haven't played this in ages and just started up again how do I get the elven and island content? I had a monkey girl do a quest for a bridge I did that. But I have not seen any elves or anything else or was that the island update?

Do the sphinx's quest, she'll set you on the path. The riddle to open the sanctuary is ripped straight from Lord of the Rings.

I don't suppose there is a repository for image replacements? I find even the replacer I found for Venus...unattractive.
You could just not recruit the ones you don't like, I never bother with venus or one other

Apologies if this has been asked before - but my version of 2.31, which I grabbed a while back (back in August of 2019), weighed in at around 10GB. I see now the original size has ballooned to over 25GB. What gives? Did they just go through and replace the .gifs with much higher fidelity versions or what? Thanks in advance for any info!

i'm sick for over a week now. when i'm not lying with 39 degrees in bed i'm also attending some courses to get the highest computer driving license. but i do wanna throw out some patches in the near future. just...not right now xD.
about beornwahl: that guy is still drunk after his party. let him get sober.
and epaddder has other things to do as far as i heard.

get the webm version. better quality and it has a much much smaller filesize. everything is prepatched there, so you are ready to go.

The image quality seems noticeably degraded but I guess that's to be expected given the ~22GB difference. I did notice that launcher file that came with the WEBM version is shown as 2.3.14 as opposed to the official download's 2.3.1, as well as there being some added stuff such as more music selection etc.
Will the 2.3.14 epadder launcher function with the official 2.3.1 release? It'd be nice to have a more updated launcher meshed with the better image quality of the main release.
It's all a bit confusing with all these different versions floating around.

i highly doubt that. gif is just a bloated animation type. pic and animation quality should even improve in every instance i applied my patches onto it.
all webm animations are in fact mp4s that weren't compressed or filtered in any way. it's actually the other way around. i always created mp4 animations first and then created the gif files from those mp4 files.
2.3.14 is the 2.3.1 just with a bugfix. i fucked up a few filenames in the gif folder ('cause i'm using japanese non unicode and that nonunicode has problems with ä ü ö and whatnot). everything can be read a couple of pages back.
