After Colony - Its best practice to order the changelog newest to oldest, otherwise when you get to the 50th update it'll take a lot of scrolling for someone to see whats new. New stuff should be the at the top :WeSmart:

Just read description and spoiler and had flashback to one of my fav tv shows - Babylon 5 - as th first line of the description is very similar tot he start of the firsts eason opening title narration - It was the dawn of the third age of Mankind - and then seeing Mars wanted to have independance from Earth - whoch is what happened ins eason 4 of Babylon 5

Good luck with the game and I will wait a little while before trying it

This isn't quite the Gundam Wing sequel I was expecting :oops:
sounds like the background setting has taken some inspiration from "the Expanse" tv series, with Mars being/wanting to be independent from Earth and the "belters"(people working on or in the asteroid belts) being oppressed by both sides.

But is also has some vibes from older rags games with mind control themes mixed with BSDM.
Gonna keep an eye on it for when content starts to be filled in.

The name is an era in a Gundam universe, and it's clearly inspired by Zone of the Enders.
I don't think the game is gonna have much Gundam stuff in it, I'm not that big of a fan of it, but I just thought the title sounded cool. I'll drop a ton of references to other franchises that inspire me. With hindsight, maybe I should have called it something else, but I liked the title and it fit perfectly with what I was going for. When it comes to inspiration, I'd say the primary inspiration is The Expanse, followed by more "grounded" sci-fi like B5, BSG, Bebop etc. Sorry for the disappointment!

At the moment, the MC is pretty much done to the PC and is in the science path. This is particularly true if you get the ALICE AI, which attempts to influence, corrupt and control you eventually. There is also some light collaring of the PC during one of the scenarios, with a "will tamer" collar. The plan is between chapters there will be small side missions, one of these missions is gonna involve you acquiring an item which will allow you to MC and possibly dominate a few PCs in the future. There is currently an under the hood karma system which will be implemented by the second chapter.

Sometimes I accidentally call the prologue chapter 1, because the prologue is around the same size of as what I want a full chapter to be, except for one chapter which will be quite meaty, but yes.

Female Protagonist well that's a let down.
Sorry to hear that! I have a section planned where you control one of the male characters, but it'll be a small one. I did consider making it have both genders at one point, but I decided narratively and what I was going for, it made no sense.

I like it! Like some others said it reminded me of the old RAGS game. Only now we're finally free lf RAGS and it's janky nonsense. Looking forward to more, I just hope you don't get too bogged down due to the 3 origins

I liked the Intro a lot. I can imagine that it has been a lot of work and the author did a really good job with the overall story, feel, and lore. It should be a quality ride ;)

This is true. The next chapter will actually have three different paths though, but overall, this is what I'm going for. There will certainly be exclusive scenes and scenarios, but it'll mostly be similar. I'm going for Telltale style, or even Mass Effect style and the system was made specifically with the old Indiana Jones click and point game in mind, where you had all round/intelligence/fighting your way through the game.

This is actually two different endings. It is in the military path. Here is from the guide. You get captured if you fail to get enough "score" and have two options, which either end with you dead or a slave.

You are correct, but I'll probably be consolidating the log to what only the public can see soon any way. The changelog was mostly internal changes for myself, so I got lazy.

As mentioned above, B5 is one of the inspirations. Your second name is Sheridan and I've pretty much put John Sheridan into it. However, there are no plans for aliens and the primary inspiration is still the expanse. Thanks for the comment :)

Haha, this is true. I was actually very close to changing it, but this game has been in development for ages and I was too far along to do so without spending way too much time.

The premise and pictures remind me of that one RAGS game: Rough landing. That's all though, having played this a bit now, they're nothing alike.

I do like how the initial choice affects the branch of the game you get set on:

After reaching the end of content for the scientist route the game is very remniscient of the "Tales of the Drunken Cowboy", with the AI and "subtle" brainwashing involved. But it's all very shallow, bad choices don't involve more than than a paragraph of two of text and a picture. There doesn't appear to be any real freedom without running into an instant game over.

I can't really call this particular route bad, but there's nothing special about it either. Then again this is an early release and prologue, so perhaps it'll branch out a lot more in the coming updates.

For a first release though there is a tonne of content, I'll be sure to check out the other routes when I have time.
p.s Please add a restart game button somewhere.
Thanks for the feedback, that is what I'm going for. For the most part, the game will follow the same path despite the route you pick, but you'll have different methods of solving problems and have access to different. The next chapter, however, will be unique as it'll be three different scenarios that'll take you through three different parts of the station, though at the price it'll be more linear (there is a reason for this, story wise). Ceres, as a hub, is planned to be the largest part of the game with five or six different areas all accessible at once. A lot of the content is going to be bad ends, as mentioned, it is primarily inspired by the older RAG games like RL, Tales and Lilith Device - I like interesting bad ends for the character. I do plan for some playable bad ends with repeatable fail states. I also could have added a ton more content in with this release, however, I decided not to "blow my load" as it makes sense narratively that later in the game the more seedy elements of human society come into play. Earth in the game is supposed to be relatively crime free and, now, resource rich, so there wasn't much room for expansion as I want to keep the game consistent.

I did have a restart button, but kind of removed it as it was just redundant in many ways. I'll put in a "back to main menu" in the bad ends.

i like the concept and the story is good the sex aspect is a bit lacking at this point ,but I can't wait to see the next installment ...

the lack of a back button is a bit annoying it means you have to start over and sift through the intro to get back to the first real choice

The consensual sex aspect is going to be mostly in the diplomat route, where you're more open to seduction. However, I did think there just wasn't enough even in that route unfortunately, it was something I was aware of with the release. At the moment, you can suck the Butler's dick, you can give a blow job for a car ride and you can have sex with Rambo in the porn shop on that route, but I wanted at least two more encounters. I'm considering adding more content to the prologue during the Chapter 1 content release, the motel area was underutilised and I have an idea for that.

I designed the game so no back button should be needed, but I understand that users want one, so I obliged. There is a folder "optional" that has a html file that reenables the back button. It is untested and unsupported, but it'll reenable it. I put it in the changelog, but forgot to add a readme. Oops.

Does this work on android html games work like shit on android
Unfortunately, I haven't tested it on Android, it was developed and tested on Windows and Chrome. Testing TWINE games on mobile devices is beyond my knowledge, if it did happen, it'd be after the game is done.

Just wanted to say - great game so far, feels very polished and smooth, created with much thought and care. I suppose my praise will mean nothing inbetween other feedback, but still. Would like to see more!

looks promising but as so often with html games the images break on case sensitive systems because the dev is throwing in random uppercase letters

please be consistent with your file names (all lowercase is standard both for coding and naming the actual files)

Which images are broken? I looked at lower case and they were all lower case apart from one, that was one of the first images. I try to use camelcase for the code where I can.

I haven't actually seen any Gundam shows for years and Wing was the only one I saw.

thats exactly the problem, your code does not match the file names, for example:
.../images/Kayla/portrait1.jpg (code) breaks because the file name is .../images/kayla/portrait1.jpg
.../images/prologue/MarsBase.jpg (code) breaks because the file name is .../images/prologue/marsbase.jpg

on windows systems thats not happening because windows is not case sensitive, so you will not notice it on your own system

Ah, I see. 95% of it is coded to standard, those are remnants that fell through the cracks from when I was just starting out with TWINE and was messing around with the system. The CommNet, for example, was from a previous game and some of the code probably fell through the crack.

i think i got a bad ending.how do i restart the game? xD
To be honest, it was an oversight on my part, I planned to add "back to main menu" buttons and did have a restart button in the side menu that I took out because it could be achieved in under ways. You'll just to reload a save. I recommend you save often, as a lot of the content is in bad ends. I might do a quick hotfix to add in these buttons.

Surprisingly, for a html game, I enjoyed this quite a bit.
Thank you very much. I tried to make a playable project that doesn't have dead ends or half finished content with a nice shine to it and comments like this help a lot :)

Theres pointless waiting for text to appear.
Endings are lame, focus should be one scene leading into the next one instead of repeating cycle of end - > reload.
