That hint was bugged in 0.2.2. I haven't played 0.2.3 yet but if you're playing that then it means it's still bugged. It's just a visual bug, you can continue the story anyway.

There are some subtle ambient sounds in the map screen and a few other places, but no music or voice acting yet.
