Let me rephrase things to hopefully make more sense: for a dev to perform what some pirates on this forum are expecting them to would require a level of efficiency, skill, and dedication that surpasses even some large scale development studios. I encourage you to browse through some UE4 and UE5 tutorials to get a better understanding of the skillset required to solo development games before complaining about a lack of updates 4 months into development.
From the gamer's point of view and according to those techno-demos and tutorial videos I've seen on the Internet: UE is a free software product designed for efficient creation of high-level games. Where is the complexity of creation and long releases, labor-intensive process of mastering???? On the contrary, from version to version of the game engine, should increase the speed and quality of game creation, through the use of more efficient development tools, progressive methods of generating worlds and workshop engine with a huge filling of countless 3D-models and high-end textures. And this in the proposal can be available to anyone who wants to create their own game, the main thing is the desire to develop and maintain it. Yes, to create a really good and worthwhile game you need some deeper knowledge, programming, modeling and design skills, but all of them are mastered in the process. As I said before, creating games in the current time should be available to anyone who wants it. Why burden the development process, what's the point? Progress is about making things easier for people, not more complicated.

from the dev less than 24 hours ago.
I did say it a couple of times before: the dev is active on his discord, just not on Patreon. I don't get why this has been tagged as "Abandoned" -- looking at you, "Radiant" (the dev team hasn't been active at all for 4+ months except posting about how great FF17 is on Twittter), and looking at you, "What a Legend" (where the devs haven't been active for more than a year, but for them posting on Patreon and their Discord on a weekly basis seems to be enough to not getting the "Abandoned" tag), just to name a few examples.

But yeah, I'm not worried at all about this game here because I do know it's in active development and the tag gets removed as soon as there's an update... ;)

Since March they have 40 updates, this game has 0 updates - who is trolling now
I seriously doubt you read through the changelog to see what's actually been accomplished. No worries, I did it for you, and to keep it short the devs have mostly spent that time polishing systems and making improvements to others (which is a great thing!).

I was being generous saying you're trolling because I find it ironic that you're claiming this is a scam on a pirating website. Here's a harsh reality that we all have to accept: Patreon is an investment in a product in hopes of enjoying it once complete. Anyone who chooses to support any dev accepts the risks that come with such an investment.

However, if you truly think this is a scam, Patreon offers supporters the option to file a report and have the creator's Patreon page taken down. Go ahead and use that functionality if you're so concerned about it.

I've already upset some people here so may as well keep up the trend!

The above quote is the exact reason why Unity has such a bad rep for being the source of hundreds of asset flips. It resulted in Steam's Greenlight program in order to combat the plague of developers that lacked coding knowledge to utilize the engine as is. Despite Epic's best attempts, they haven't been able to idiot proof UE5 in the way that quote is suggesting.

If you're referring to the marketplace then I'd like to refer you to the history of Unity asset flips. The marketplace is intended to cut back on develop time for creating models, animations, textures, and various other core functions from scratch, but these systems are NOT optimized to work in conjunction when stitched together. As I said, a dev needs to have an in depth understanding of all fields in game development to be successful.

If you're curious about some high profile scams that abused the marketplace (and various other sources), do a quick search of "The Day Before" for a recent example. Starforge is an example of a high profile Unity scam.

The entitlement of people on this forum is absurd. The amount of complaining I see about development cycles taking too long (because apparently 4 months equates to eternity) on a pirate forum - where we pirates aren't spending a cent mind you - is embarrassing.

And yes, there is some salt in this post so feel free to fill your jars with it lol

If I was a dev I wouldn't release an update more than 3 times a year while maintaining active social interaction with my backers. Because everybody bitches about game updates with shitty content releases
I have to remind you, he said he would try to release new builds of the game every month or even less than a month apart.
Then after about 2 and a half months he showed us what he is working on at the moment and we found out that he had life problems with living conditions, we understand everything, but 4 months there is nothing....

When I was learning code (gave up because I wasn't interested enough), I heard a saying, that goes like : there are 3 types of game devs :
The Conservative, who codes everything himself, only using the most fundamental frameworks and libraries. You've never seen his work beyond a few alpha versions here and there, as he got lost in his code and abandoned.
The LEGO player, who just grabs resources from the marketplace and botches them together. His code is bulky, super resource-intensive (the games where just the main menu with a flat image as a background, lags while eating 5GB of RAM, that's his creation). His creations get abandoned after a few versions because he has no idea how to fix bugs and crashes, and after a last update, the game doesn't work anymore.
And the good developer. You've never seen his indie stuff because, being a good dev, he's getting a lot of work by his employer, he ain't got time for indie stuff.

You're trolling, right? Home Together is made by a small development studio (Team Monolith) with the only progress having been made is sex animations. Monolith Bay has been in development for 3+ years and is still far off from completion (despite being fairly entertaining).

The entitlement in this community is through the roof. No point banging your head against a wall.

Sometimes I let the intrusive thoughts win and give in to temptation. Honestly I'm just disappointed in myself for getting involved since it's almost identical patterns across each thread. Rarely will you get a gem of a community (looking at you Caribdis), but that makes up maybe 1% of every game thread posted on this forum.

Oh I'm not defending the dev. I was doubting this project as soon as it released https://f95zone.to/threads/afterparty-v0-1-tiny-meat-games.151847/post-10261710.

I just understand that a monthly production cycle is fairly unobtainable from most porn devs and from a 3d dev I expect a much longer production time.

BTW Im still looking for where he got his code and asset packs

6month of no activity from the dev it was posted earlier in this thread
  • Abandoned: used in the following cases:
    • The developer states that the development has been permanently suspended.
    • After 3 months of inactivity from the developer's public creator/crowdfunding accounts (Patreon, SS, etc), we will resolve special circumstances or scenarios on a case-by-case basis (no creator accounts, creators developing for free, Patreon accounts under review/ban).
    • No game update has been released for an abnormally long period of time (>18 months).
    • Game threads that are marked On-hold for over 6 months with no game update.
    • Note: this prefix is only removed upon the release of a new update for purchase/download.
I'm fairly certain this thread is going to get nuked soon if we keep up the discussion on the "abandoned" tag. I'll just leave it at the fact that the tag is often applied inconsistently.

Hi everybody, the new version of the game is finally here. Apologies for the wait. Soon after I released this game, I took a job in the game development industry, which I have been doing full time and learning A LOT of new things. Unfortunately this took away from development time on my own project. However, in the long term this will be beneficial for the project, as I've already replaced a lot of old, bad code that I did originally with much better code. There's still more to be done. The next update will focus on bug fixing and overhauls of old systems that still contain bad code. This is necessary for features I plan to introduce in the future, like the male playable character. However, since I don't intend on adding much new content in the next release, this means it will come out much sooner.

Here are the patch notes for the new version:
Character creator:
-5 new hairstyles
-Accessories (nose/ear/nipple/bellybutton piercings)
-Tattoos
-New clothing options
-Character body parts can be clicked and dragged for jiggling
-Added a player voice. Pitch can be adjusted. Volume can be set to 0 if you don't want a voiced player
Gameplay:
-Inventory can be accessed by pressing "I"
-Clothing and items can be stored in the inventory. All clothing items have a thumbnail and details
-Inventory has a menu for accessing NPCs that you have discovered. From here, you can change /outfits/hair color (and in the future, hair style and morphs)
-Player bed is interactable and can be used to pass time
-Shower is interactable
-Player wardrobe added, which stores clothing items from the character creator that were not picked. Also can change clothing color/materials
-Save system partially reworked
-NPC added to the game. NPC has a 24 hour schedule
-Open world map added to the locations menu inside the inventory. Currently this is empty. In the future, maps will be merged into a single open world level
-Lights added to remaining houses
-Virtual shadow maps disabled (increases performance, however this may be offset by the added NPC)
-Added a check for AMD cards that disables ray traced shadows on lights, which causes problems in Unreal 5.1
-Menu system completely overhauled
-Better graphics options
-Rebindable keyboard controls
-Partial gamepad support
-Audio level controls
And lots of other minor improvements.
If you want to report a bug, please join the and post in the bug squashing channel, and if it hasn't already been added to my Trello board I will add it.
THANK YOU to my Patrons who stuck with me until now! You guys mean a lot to me.

Hello everyone, the new update is finally here! The links in the OP have been updated, or you can visit the to play the new version and read the patch notes. This game was never abandoned, the last few months have just been very busy for me, and I've learned a lot of new things from my job. This unfortunately meant the update took way longer than I anticipated, but this will be good for the game long-term because I've already replaced a lot of code that was done poorly, and there's more work to do!

The next update is going to be focused on resolving issues with the current build. If you find a bug, feel free to drop by the and mention it, and if it's not already on my list of things to fix in the next update I'll add it.

Thanks everybody for your patience with the update.
