This game has many good ideas but none of them is developed well enough and people still defend it. I dont get this way o thinking that a porn game doesnt need to be complex and polished. Imagine rebuilding whole island, inviting more girls and having the ability to really create their personalities. "Nah, just give us Free H lol!"

Illusion had it right with schoolmate and even sexy beach for more interactive/adventure like types but not these ones. Sure, the graphics is amazing but thats it. The item collecting is meh, building things works great at first tell you start making more complex things like, more then a single room, then it all goes to hell. If they took say, a game like schoolmate 2, updated graphics/engine and nearly double everything thats already in the game as for content then people would have been happy.

You guys might want to be careful with the hardcore nostalgia.

I didn't play Artificial Academy 2, which was praised earlier in this thread, when it first came out. I tried it years later and it didn't hold up at all. I'm not just talking graphics here, if you go into that expecting better gameplay than AI Shoujo you're gonna have a rough time.

Personally, it still feels way better. It might just be a massive case of preference or something. Even if it was just the ILLUSION of better gameplay, it still feels better than this even now. I'm still waiting for AA3, and ALL they would have to do with that for me is just make it full 3D like Koikatsu (or even this, AI Shoujo), and that much ALONE would be the best possible upgrade for me. I could download it TONIGHT and still find insane amounts of joy in it compared to this right now.

(Extra additions would be giving the "outside" school life feel more alive as well in some ways of some sort.)

The best experience right now in the present day would be getting AA2Mini, and actually utilizing the modules function, creating/making or downloading them, and attaching them to the characters, enhancing the gameplay in a way that the base vanilla game doesn't already allow for. (Or hell, even make scenes using the AAUnlimited's posing functions.)

(Of course, at the end of the day, all THIS personally is just me, but I'm sure there's still people that would agree, even if only selectively about some parts.)

Funny you should mention the AA2Mini, that's what I downloaded earlier today to make sure I remembered the game correctly and wasn't talking out of my ass.

Gave it a quick try, got bored to death by walking from screen to screen and having "deep" and "lively" conversations by asking the same 5 or 6 questions over and over. So I made my own girl, gave her giant boobs and fancy hair and fiddled around with the grand total of 8 outfits. Apparently making her perverted meant that she'd ask me to have sex in the middle of the school yard on day 2 and I banged her through a few positions in all their pixelated glory, right in front of the teacher who didn't even blink.

That's all I accomplished before I had my fill and decided that AI Shoujo, while grindy as fuck, offers a lot more from a gameplay perspective.
If you wanted to make a case for Honey Select or some such being superior I'd be more inclined to agree, but I really couldn't find whatever you guys managed to see in AA2.

It might be a preference thing, I literally just tried Artificial Academy 2 last week, and gameplay wise I prefer it to this game, like if you date a yandere and she catches you cheating, she'll try to catch the girl that you cheated with by herself and kill her, thats crazy! BUT the sex stuff is lacking, like you have to choose separate finishing animations instead of them just making it meter based like these new games, but these new games don't even do anything great. The graphics are good (Honey Select 2 and this look GREAT) but its the same 40 animations that existed in honey select 1, they didn't even add any new sex scenes like that, its lazy as hell. Whats worse is people can't make new positions for the game, because if they could this community would be WAYYYY bigger than it is, we'd have dedicated animators and everything, it might just be better to stick to modded Sims 4 tbh lol

The "game" I noticed is...okay. This feel more like a tech demo. Like someone is trying a bunch of things. To that end I think the studio function of this package is head and shoulders above anything else I have seen before.

I really REALLY enjoyed the house building but it's not as polished as it presents on first glance. Far from it. I have, to this day, not found a consistent way to put a door in the center of a wall without having wall sections list over the edge.

The ultimate sin of this package is outside the game itself. If you have a question, you can kiss your butt goodbye, you aren't finding anyone who asked that question or an answer. If you wanted to find just a particular type of clothing, gg I hope you weren't expecting to search like 21st century browsing. We going right back to geocities style organization there.

By the way, the "story" kind of recognizes the stage in a single room that you have access to once you unlock the final area. If you really slow down and look in there you will realize the setting maybe obtuse by design.

So as my first illusion product, I am torn. I feel a little like the redamz situation where, since no one else approached the topic with anything resembling sense or professional skill, a single entry with half ass commercial level effort makes it a beast you can't skip, and you eat a beatdown of complaints the whole time to match every awe inspiring moment.

Tech demo might be a bit harsh but yeah, I noticed that too.

For instance, there's a minigame for fishing which is nothing special but works reasonably well. For some reason it's the only minigame available, everything else is just a mouse click and an animation. Fishing also seems to be the only skill that levels up.

There's also some semblance of movement obstacles, a tripple jump of sorts over a stream and a few places where you have to crawl or squeeze through. But none of those actually do anything or challenge you in any way. It's just another mouse click and animation to sit through so they might as well not exist.

The survival aspect of this supposed survival game is equally lackluster. It only affects the girls, never the player. As I mentioned before, one of my girls has apparently never eaten since she's on the island but she's basically fine. She might fatigue a bit faster than normal but it doesn't really matter gameplay-wise.

It really feels like someone had a bunch of ideas for a sexy island survival title but nobody bothered with actually implementing them properly.

Whoever was tasked with creating the construction portion of this game needs to have a copy of The Sims rammed down their throat with a six foot dildo.

Much like everybody is saying, i would also agree that this game is SO close to being something amazing. The graphics are good, the building process is entertaining for a bit, and the ideas behind it are enticing. So if you're looking for a good fap, it checks out! However, if you want a little bit more then it becomes lackluster.

The building part is fun but there is very little reward for putting time into it. The girls are very difficult to control in terms of using things that would be fun (Dildo, Dancing stage, Sexy stage, etc.) and most of the time when they do decide to do stuff it isn't in the location you envisioned. Instead of using the bathroom you spent an hour crafting they might just run off into the woods and use the broken down shit hole of a shower. I understand porn games are porn games and not everybody wants that immersive style of play, but i am one of those people that wouldn't mind seeing more of it.

Koikatsu and AI shoujo are both on the grasps of greatness, but they just need a little push. That SLIGHT factor to help bring the games to life a little bit more and round it out. Maybe i'm just picky at this point, spoiled by many of the amazing game concepts you see on here.
