Overall Quantity and Quality Improvements to the game!
Hey guys,
I have good...NO, cut that...I have GREAT NEWS to share!
As you all know, with every game update, the game gets bigger and bigger.
With the release of
v0.13 the game has now more than
1.200 Scene Renders (and with Character Portraits, Fighting Images etc.) even more than
1.600 Renders in general.
With that being said, the
File Size got quite huge as well. The game itself needs around
1.32 Gb disk space on the harddrive. Which I found is too much and I wanted that to change!
And I did...
I have done a
Complete Overhaul to the
Renders Compressing Method and Format. In other words, I have
Reworked around
600-700 Renders and got rid of all the wasted transparency where it isn't needed.
I thought this would save around 200-300 Mb, but NO...it
saved more than
750 Mb, which is
more than half the size of the game. I have to admit that this is
absolutely tremendous and it
exceeded my expectations by a mile. I'm very happy with the outcome!
And now comes the best part...
All this above comes
WITHOUT ANY and I mean
ANY LOSS IN QUALITY!!!
No,
it's quite the opposite so to speak. Because while I was
reworking 600-700 Renders, I also
Overhauled their Colors and Lighting (in the post production). And I
Re-rendered a few images for
Further Quality Improvements.

Around 60% Disk Space Saved for All of Us
