You and me both. I have no problem with a supernatural element to a story but I'd prefer that it was made clear from the start that that's what the story was, not just thrown in, in the middle somewhere.

In what manner was it NOT made apparent from the beginning? The MC's tendancy to enter mindless psycho rages was established within the first few seconds. Within the first few scenes of Alex's into their psychic future dreams kicked in. Don't confuse a gradual build up with absence my friend.
Even if for some reason you don't think all those subtle clues that had me and others speculating on the supernatural elements months ago should be counted, then remember this is only the 2.0 incarnation. We're still very much in the 'beginning' of this game.
I see the MC's rages as just a guy with really poor self control and the "dreams" could just as easily be little fantasies. But it is true that this game is still in it's early stages it has been portrayed more as a Mafia type game than something supernatural. These things could be subtle clues but at the moment I don't think they are hinting at anything supernatural. I could be wrong, will be fun to find out as the story unfolds at any rate. After all Ptolemy writes great stories and if this game takes a turn into the supernatural I'm sure it will workout well and make sense.
The evil murder-smile he gets when the psycho-rage kicks in implies it's nothing as simple as anger management issues. There's something decidedly wicked in the MC. The only mundane explanation is straight up multiple personality disorder.
What makes for a better story and better character developement in an erotic story? A psychotic or a werewolf?
Full blown psychotic? Ain't nuthin' sexy about that. Nothing sympathetic about that. This is why psychotic characters in story telling tend to be antagonists, or at best loose cannon sidekicks. They do not offer the needed ingredients of a good story which is ultimately only as good as it's protagonists and antagonists.
Werewolf? Sexy, dangerous, and just enough tragedy to it to make the MC sympathetic. All the things you need in a protagonist.
Now I'm not as infallible as my God-Emperor, so I could ultimately be proven wrong I guess. But from what I see so far, all signs point to werewolf. Only some signs point to psycho. And psycho would be pretty disappointing.
My only real fear at this point is the writing team cops out and does some crappy I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-A-Werewolf version of a werewolf. The only way to make a psychotic work would be the Jekyl/Hyde angle someone mentioned earlier, and but that would mean ignoring all the other strong signs that point to Werewolf. And frankly, Jekyl/Hyde almost always ends up coming across as I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-A-Werewolf anyway

I am partway through this game and I like it. I specifically liked the part where you get the girls out, you return with them drunk, your mobster boss waits you at the door and when Alexandra busts his balls to let you sleep there for the night, he offers to "do to you what you do for his daughter" and the next day he is there, dressed and all when you wake up watching you and his reply on "I find it a bit disturbing you watching me sleep here" is "I could do it at your place if you prefer."

BTW, there are some complex characters and relationships in this game. It's necessary to read every dialogue and thought and still much is not clear yet. It's not a light story about boy likes girl then let's fuck.

Except he switched when he first met Alex and she clearly only saw him as he always was and it was only his demeanor that scared her. The reliance on graphics not so wise either because with beating with hammer slashes appeared yet dialogue after when confirming MC story confirmed his hed beaten in with blunt object fitting hammer.

I felt connection was both ways from start and visions not just daydreams or fantasies, from first vision where he actually collapsed he knew her pet name she was going to use "Puppy" that wasn't actually used by Alex until Izzy called him Guard dog when she convince MC to escort them to bar. It was also interesting that visions not purely related to relationship like when money stolen the vision was insight into how to deal with Boris to protect Dennis and get respect. I am liking the two sides to his "power" and just how this is going to evolve. I also like that Alex also has subtle matching contrasting duality.The connection that Alex and the MC share is one of the most intriguing things in this game for me. At first it seemed like it was only the MC who felt it but now Alex is in tune too it also. It would be awesome if Izzy got to be in on it too but we shall see.
I am not sure its magical but more of an enhanced empathy where you literally feel connected in some way and can tell when something is "off" or "different" with certain people (partners, family, etc...).
But if they all end up being supernatural creatures with superpowers I be cool with that too

OK while we talking supernatural and mythical. In both Celtic and Norse lore there are berserkers and in both there were rare Berserkers that credited with "the sight" and ability to both inspire allies in multiple ways including berserker rage and unnatural fear in enemies. There are many scenes where things change significantly after Physical contact made with MC (The first shake down the guy stops trying to give run around as soon as MC puts hand on shoulder, the personal trainer firstly the ex BF going from rage to shitting himself without even been hit and when Personal Trainer that coming on to him after bandages wrist totally backtracks after putting hand on his cheek, even when first saving Alex and she freaking out and trying to back away, as soon as he touches her she calms significantly and actually apologises.
No doubt over analysing it all but since we speculating I thought I throw it out there.

Is it bad that I didn't pick up on any of this supernatural stuff you guys are talking about? I don't remember any of this except the blackout/mauling in the lastest update and even that didn't make me think anything weird was going on. Man I gotta quit taking my meds before playing this stuff. Missing out on too much.
Most of that is speculation and filling in blanks. Only thing "supernatural" bit I've seen is him healing quickly. He may just be an escaped experimentee, government or ortherwise.
We're mostly just filling time between updates with speculation, lol.
Mind you, I am effing brilliant and my idle speculation is worth anyone elses cold hard data.

If your not accidentally posting in the wrong thread, you might be playing an outdated version of the game as it's now just a VN with no sandbox and stats anymore.
