I wanna take a trip down memory lane:

: 0.3.9 stable released on time
: 0.4.0 Dev released on timeish
: 0.4.0 to be released "soon", and thanking everyone for their money. Talks about how they live in a "poor" country where the average monthly salary is $200. (They're making 1.5k+ a month off patreon supporters -- So they're officially rich in their country by comparison)
: 0.4.0 Stable to be released on Dec 1
: 0.4.0 stable released. Kinda on time! Quote:
Thanks for waiting for 0.4.0 Stable release. It was a COMPLETE HELL to make it. I never thought I'll spend so much time on it, and I don't even know why it took so much time
: BIG PLANS FOR LIVING TOGETHER -- Announcing second project
: Plans for 0.4.1 again calling out how they debug the game alone.
: Bugfix for 0.4.0
: 0.4.1 Spoiler image of new character. Promises "Living Together" Full Demo for the first of January
: 0.4.1 Dev build
This update became bigger than I expected it to be, so I did a lot of changes in the game
: Even more content this month!!1!
I hope you all enjoyed New Year and had a great time! I noticed I been kinda lazy last times, so looks like it's time to push myself.
: Release date for 0.4.1 was set to the 31st

I give the dev shit cause I had some hope for this game. He is making a lot for where he lives and the no communication pisses me off. I'll be happier when he goes back to the previous update cycle and mostly keeping to it, but it really does look bad.

Hmm...looking at that timeline the issues have started in early December, and hasn't been consistent since then
We are now in the month of April, hardly heard anything since Feb.21 (or even this year for that matter)
Yes, agreed. I too do not like radio silence. At the very least give the public some teaser pics as a sign the Dev is "alive". I'm not demanding for weekly updates, just be more interactive on a monthly basis. That way we won't have to check here every week wondering what's going on with this game

Speaking of Devs yes there are some here that are interactive. Epic Lust (of Apocalypse) is one of them :PogChamp:

people are bailing. more than 200 euros decrease within few days. Hell I have bailed myself. I understand people are confusing patreon with subscription, and patreon is simply a ground for donation so nothing in turn is expected. But I don't want to donate to somebody for no reason. I donate so the animal shelter buys the food. I donate so poor kid gets school supplies. I donate so an artist who I enjoy their art doesn't have to worry about stupid other jobs and focuses on the project he enjoys instead. But if I see no action, no communication, I take back my silly little 10$ donation. I am willing to jump back in if I see that he is willing to continue with the project but I think soon he will have to use some saved money from previous months until then.

4 Month already, there when the att will have 5 new images 2 new variations of pose and bug fix, better not even expect muchmore even though I am pissed off at the lack of communication and simple updating I am concerned that this game will be abandoned (or already is) guy would paste a simple "hello the update will take longer it turns"

These kinda of games that takes like 6months to add a 10min gameplay makes me sad and its always the games that I like is this way. Takes forever to update or abbandoned:sleep:
Lets hope this release in this year and not in the next

So, I've been a mod on SJ's Discord for quite a long time and I stopped doing that about half a year ago maybe? As such I've defended the whole thing back then. What I can say that he is talented and he actually did his best at the start. But the more money he earned and the more he saw others getting away with doing less work the more he himself decided to do less.
This basically spiraled out of control. He told me how he didn't feel like working. How he was just lazing around doing nothing. In fact, most of the updates he released were done in about 3-4 days (this is the actualy work, I have no idea how much time he spent planning and sketching, but at most add a day or two maybe). As for the debugging? There is none. I did that sometimes early on. The game runs? It's debugged. All that said, he really has 0 experience in coding. He'd rather give up on the feature than to actually make it.
Well, I saw the whole thing coming, so I left and blocked him. I have no idea what he did during these months. Or even what's going on with him. I just dropped by the thread to see how things are going, because at the end of the day I really liked the game. But as I see nothing changed. And probably nothing will if he doesn't get a wake-up call.

Been a patron for a while. Development started to show some more warning signs as it continued. He talked about his 2nd game and in one of his posts he talked about another non-H indie game he was making. A lot of the content he did make moved further away from the gameplay loop and just implemented a bunch of discord patron ideas. I kept getting this nagging feeling that the game didn't really have much of a roadmap or vision.

I really hope the guy gets back on track. Seeing the game art and animation improve was pretty exciting and I want to see the game grow, but the radio silence on all fronts pretty much ended my desire to ever give money to the guy until things change.

He getting money should be a motivation to work harder. Seeing others get way with working less desn't mean its a good thing.
Those people will never make a game that will shine more than others.
This game seemed nothing too special from just the images, Playing the game is where it shines.
He did say he worked alone right? I understand if he wants a break but slaking off is not one of em.
What he is doing is opening the door to failure.

thanks for the insight, that is what I have guessed as well. Unfortunately current channel admins keep protecting him although they (sometimes indirectly) admit that they have no actual communication with him at all. So he is apparently ghosting everyone, and probably no real progress is made in the game. i didn't cancel my pledge on time for april but i think patrons should stop giving him the money now. such a shame, he was the first creator that I ever pledged on patreon because I thought he deserved it a lot and he was doing such a good job with the art.
