I just want to say one thing: GOD DAMN IT THIS GAME IS BACKKKK. WAIT SO LONG FOR THIS PIECE OF WONDER....(cry in emotion)
Yeah, and it's pretty good so far, but I do have a complaint. He changed the map layout completely, and made it less complex, which made the game significantly easier. The game can still be hard, but that's mostly due to not having any iFrames, so projectiles are kind of hell, because if one hits you, they all land, and most enemies fire off like 5 at once.
In v12B and the earlier versions, you had to snake your way through a bunch of platforms, blowing up the ground and passages before you could exit the current room, which made things harder and more interesting, because there were usually enemies in bulk, but now almost all of the rooms are very large and open, so you can just speed run and jump through the whole map without much trouble.
Overall, the game feels like it went from being a Dark Souls Metroidvania, to Sonic the Hedgehog, since you just zip through locations, only stopping to kill things for levels. I still like it, but I wish there was more of a challenge, because even though I beat the game in less than an hour, I could beat the older version in about the same amount of time, even though there's more content this time around?
