No, and technically no. You can unlock all the available animations in the gallery, but not all thumbnails have an animation yet.

More than a year has passed since the last update and the only thing this dev has done is giving up some teasers in his patreon every 2-3 months, with no other news or deadlines-updates about how much more it's gonna take. Yes this is old news most of you know that. What i wanna point out is that this guy still has 688 patreons as of writing this post. That's ridiculous imo.

We all know if that amount of patreons suddenly halved, he would speed up the process and he would at least update us on the situation of the development of the current build. But no. 688 braindead-with money to spare, decide that this behavior is not only acceptable but that it should be paid on top of that.

Don't even start with the classic ''grimhelm is know for long radio silence but he deliver's'' That's not an apology since there's always the possibility that one of these long radio silences is gonna turn into a real abandoned situation. The first build came out at august 2017! And the content currently looks like it took 1 year at the most, to make.

Don't take me wrong i'm not hating on this dev, this guy has one of the best combinations of an action-animated examples out there, if not the best. But that dosen't make his current behavior acceptable.

I do not agree, patreon is like "You like what I made? You can support me if you want"
Not like "Pay me and I will release new content"
When you become supporter the only thing you have is only what you patreon tier gives you
And "If you become my patron, it will be very helpful to complete this game as well as to develop the sequel. "

I don't think that's necessarily true. Grimhelm has always developed without much of any updates while he does so, and the development times have always been long. Granted, I think that the development time for this particular game is more than his others. And he only made a Patreon because people kept saying he should, and that was after this game was already in progress. So why would a dev that did not care about monetary support suddenly speed up development if he sees the amount of supporters halved? And why would he suddenly update us on the development if he has no history of doing that in the first place?

So because there is a possibility of this game being abandoned we should not look at his history when it comes to making games? And if you fear so much that the game would be abandoned, you should be ecstatic that he posts updates on Patreon. You don't want the game to be abandoned, but you do want people to not support the game any longer?

I don't claim to know much about Grim, but he probably doesn't work on the game full-time. In fact, I'm almost 100% sure that's the case.

I agree that I'd love more communication during the development of the game, yes. but at the same time the Patreon is already an improvement in that regard.

And you also have to keep in mind that Patreon is a tip jar, not a store front. You don't go pay someone money there with the expectation to get something in return. That's not what Patreon is meant to be. You pay someone to show your support. You like what they're doing and want them to continue doing it.

2 things,
1) This game is different from his other projects, Dark Star and Dungeon Maid, as both of those were a lot simpler than this. This game is designed to be a metroidvania, requiring a map w/ recognizable points, reason to return / progress areas properly and more. Its something that may not seem that big (ex from the metroidvania series being SOTN) but its alot more work to make it feel fleshed out, obviously yes titty porn game less effort then AAA games, but metroidvanias need a bigger focus on maps than a run and gun game (Dark Star) or a simple dungeon crawler w/ very little secrets and alternate paths (Dungeon Maid)

2) Patreon is a choice, you arent required to sub to his patreon whatsoever. You can choose to not to and wait till full updates release. He isnt exploiting patreons because during the past year he had his patreon closed and all sales disabled for a good chunk of said year aswell as before that too. He was never like some of the other nsfw game devs that just make a demo to exploit a patreon for free money. He does updates / leaks as he progresses even now. (His last post being 2 months ago which is very recent for someone like grimhelm.)

Yes this game takes a long time to make, yes grimhelm is a slow dev, but he's obviously not greedy if he shut down his patreon / never bothered to re-enable his patreon for half to a full year, aswell as still posting decent to quality animations on his patreon. Yes I do hate he's slow and yes I understand you dont hate his work or w/e, but him being slow is understandable w/ what this game is.
