Nope. Not that I know of. You're going to have to play your way until you reach the hub area to see the animations.

I reached the checkpoint area with the shallow spiky pits. How much longer after that ?
If you're talking about the area I think you're talking about, then you missed it. Did you get there by going through two doors? You shouldn't have.

Ok I indeed went low while the idea of this game apprarently is - always go up top.
There are the best weapons there and there is the entrance to the hub ...
I saw the 5 animations and I quit...
I dunno - game looks quite fun - but lacks soul. No impact to combat no impact to sex.
IMHO not worth amount of time spend on it ...

Then they should build a game without any mechanics. A VN with a lot of animations or a walking simulator - dont know if there any 2D walking simulators ^^. They decided to make a game that relies heavily on gamemechanics (jump and run/fight), than this has to be a solid system.
You dont build a stripclub on a wonky wooden 3 floor construct with a rope to climb to the entrance.
You have to know what you really want to sell, then put every effort into that aspect of your product. After that you can fill it with all the nice and fluffy stuff you want. Currently the first every user sees is a "game" that feels like a prototype of a 24 hrs coding contest with floating and no wight in its movement, and an interface where 70% is not working and/or useless currently. Build this with tight controls, some info text, auto equip and fewer and more balance enemies, and this is a whole new experience. Now its just some random sprites in a 2D sidescroller without working gamemechanics. Most ppl wont ever use (or know) cheatengine and will not even see more than that because the game blocks you from that. => game design from hell.
Edit: to be clear. >80% of all devs here, that put gamemechanics in their games make the same mistakes. They put them in without a reason or a purpose that benefits the player. Thats true for most of all grind/"sandbox" and/or movement based games here. They add that stuff just to stretch the playtime or to annoy the player. Never ever have I seen a game where this really helped the game to become a better game or raise the enjoyment for the player. When the first question in your thread is "where is the cheat?" or "what console commands to get xxx..." - then your gamedesign is flawed.
I get where you're coming from, but at the same time some people just only want to get to the "good stuff" no matter what.

Its too fkn hard, no save no help no nothing, and the pit jumping mechanics are awful, they should do harder monsters instead of such a bs. Game design is great, I hope they will make it better somehow.

Just go forward always going to the higher levels first - you get a powerfull new weapons.
After you get to dead end on the highest level, bo back one room and go on the lower path - you will fight a big monster and you are in hub after that
WASD, space for movement, mouse to attack and defend, I think F for a special attack. Don't ask about the menus, because those are a mess. Just try Enter, Escape, and mouse buttons until it does what you want it to.
I am not sure if my game is bugged or if I am missing something simple.
I killed the brute, then went jumped up the four platforms. walked left, killed the enemies, and into a trophy room with no trophies. I cant progress from here. Tried doing everything I could think of on the alter looking thing.
Tried continuing further left. Can someone please tell me what to do from here?

Was there a dead end to the right of where you killed the brute? Were there doors (not the ones at the edges of the screen) that you entered before encountering the brute? After killing the very first big guy you encounter after dropping down to him, there should be a dead end to his right. Go there and wait for a platform to come down to you that allows you to go up. From there take the teleporter (big fleshy thing with eyes) and keep going right until you see a big door. That's the hub where you can find all the scenes.

Is the hub located above the boss squid guy? The room with the glowing rainbow table? It's empty for me
