Really excellent start of this game. I can see a lot of work has been put into it. Of course it's just the introduction of the story. I mean, who seriously expects a full fledged game in the first release?

Willing to bet good money one of those tags is femdom.
Also not sure how I feel about this game. The renders are great. Just everyone outside of Samara,is just kind of super unlikable.
Also its kind of off putting how the MC looks like a (financially speaking),poor version of the culture shock MC. (Might be where I'm getting those NTR vibes from.) And yes I am aware there is NO NTR in this game so far.

The devs that don't make games for the majority is Jobeo (especially since he doesn't have a patreon and buy me a coffee) and Slonique (instead of having the only proper sex scene MC is instead pegged by his sole love interest). I mean no offence but MrKnobb's previous VN fit in with the majority of people in this forum hence why he is considered a good dev but to say he doesn't make games for the majority of people wrong because of his previous VN, "but what about this VN?" seriously defenders just said that this is a just an intro so yeah its not proper since its too early to put this game on the category you said: the not for the majority.
Saw a negative comment from a lot of people? What's the big deal? Its a frickin public forum dwelt upon by a majority of incest, harem and romance (separate categories) fans that help make or break games with their support.
Also this is not an attack post, I just get iffy when people dismiss legitimate concerns. I don't get butthurt if my favorite game or VN is criticized especially if the criticism is sound. What people are reacting to is the first release, let them react. Too much praise can dull a VN, like some out in this site.
TLDR; Don't put someone up on a high pedestal just look at Cyberpunk 2077, Freeloading Family and etc.

I know it is in the beginning and I believe it will be cleared up in the next updates (I hope so) but what I don't understand is the fact that she left him when he was 5, and years later sought him out not because she regretted it or because she feels remorse but because she just wants the MC to be her daughter’s "babysiter". It gave me the feeling that she is buying the MC.
As I said at the beginning, it’s just the beginning of the story and I’m curious to see how the story unfolds

MrKnobb I want to save you a headache, not sure coming to read all the comments will be good for you. That said your a pretty chill guy, so you may be able to take it, but if RogueUk is still writing for you, dont let him answer in this thread, it will shoot fire into gasoline...
The major complaint I see going forward isnt going to be the NTR at all, since I know you dont like that genre... its going to be the same asinine complaint that plagued the game "Second Chance", and later on in its development also "No More Secrets"... Basically people calling for you to "torch" or "burn at the stake" the MILF character that abandoned the MC (who I believe will end up being his birth-mom, and one of the missing tags will be "incest").
I dont understand how this topic can be such a hot button for so many people when 90% of them never had to deal with that shit at all !! I was "given away" at birth, as my biological mother had 12 kids already, so she decided to help our her niece that couldnt have children and gave me to her from the moment she was in late pregnancy... I honestly thanked my "great-aunt/godmother" for what she did, she gave me a chance at a better life by sending me with someone far more financially stable, and could pay attention and raise a kid without having to deal with 11 other ones ! Yes its true when I talk to her I dont consider her "my mom", but not out of resentment, but because to me "my mom" is the lady who raised me... so seeing so many "fuck her she abandoned her kid, NO FORGIVENESS *froths at mouth*... annoys the shit out of me... I believe in second chances, I believe that its never to late to correct a mistake !
MrKnobb & Rogue have shown they can weave a decent story with RTP already, I am sure they can do it again with this one, and make characters likeable through character progression. And No I am not back-tracking from what I said before, since I simply stated that what is there in v0.1 isnt of interest to me, that might change with v0.2... I am still a Patron to him, and will continue till he puts a fetish I hate in one of his games, or stops developing games.

Or conversely,some characters just end up hated? It Is what it is,i can hate a character and still enjoy a VN.
Not that I really hate the characters. They're not particularly likeable in my opinion. But we don't know enough to hate them. Now talk to me after a couple of more updates,and we can revisit it.

Not everyone handels betrayel well and VN's are often an outlet for feelings you can't really vent in reality, they are for me anyway.
Also, and I admit I could be wrong about that, Anne's Character wasn't the main complaint about the game. I can only speak for myself but for me it was that after a good game like RTP the start of the next game is mediocre. It has me worried that the devs work is gonna dip in quality. I sure hope I'm wrong, but stuff like the mysterios "hybrid" game and the suprise tags has me worried.

If the MC had been given to an aunt to be raised the reaction would be very different. If you have no familiarity with how the foster care system in the US can be a nightmare for children then you wouldn't understand the objections that some people, including myself, have towards the MILF character. The MC's situation, as much as we have learned so far, isn't that he was given to loving individuals to be raised. She was taking care of him when he was 5 and decided, for some reason, that she couldn't raise him and put him into foster care where he "bounced from one family to another like a pinball until an incident caused that dismal little game to crash, to an end." She is rich and has one child. She could have handed him to someone, given that person a bunch of money, and seen that he was taken care of properly. Instead the MC had a "dismal" life in the system. (I hope she isn't his mother and I hope that we are able to choose who the MC fucks in this game. A harem without choice would be very disappointing to me but I understand that not all games are for everyone.)
Now she comes back into his life because she, supposedly, needs him to babysit her daughter. We don't know anything else about her motives besides the fact that she now has a use for him. When he tried to refuse her offer his apartment is suddenly taken from him. An unlikely coincidence which shows that she is willing to manipulate the situation to get what she wants. In addition she walks around half naked, buys the MC anything he needs without asking him (and refusing to listen to him), and leaves doors open so that he can see her and two escorts in the midst of a fuck. Nothing she has done so far makes her someone who deserves to be trusted.
It would be nice if the player had more control over the MC in terms of what he witnesses. The player should be able to decide not to see Anne and the escorts fuck. When the player chooses not to peek at Anne in the shower it would be nice if the MC actually didn't peek at her. Though this has more choice than RtP it still is starting out to be very much a story on rails, however perhaps as more episodes come out there will be more choices offered which actually shape the story. As I've said many times in this thread I will wait and see as it is too early to judge. MrKnobbs definitely deserves our patience when it comes to seeing where this story is going.
