Even if its edited to hide the fact it is in fact machine translation, a lot would be lost between the lines. It would be fine enough to play through the game with little trouble or understanding in most areas, but I want to understand what was meant by the nuance in writing and intent, and that just will be lost. I think it deserved more than MTL even a heavily edited one, but this is the best that could be managed. Just wish Eushully translations got more than just MTL in most cases.
As someone else already said, it's probably time for you to learn Japanese, or stick to officially translated games. Every fan translation will lose nuance, always. They have to stick to the character limit of the game engine + the amount of dialogue the game pushes. A lot of situations require far more characters and more dialogue than the engine\game allows, so nuance is guranteed lost.
Professional translations done officially(where the source code 'is' available and they 'can' interject new dialogue) doesn't have to worry about that, making it easier to keep nuance and translate it into proper english. Make no mistake however, a lot of nuance is still lost, because languages have words that have no equal in the other, making it unrealistic to expect the proper nuance to be portrayed. Your only choice for what you want, is to learn Japanese(preferibly, also stay in Japan for a few years to get the proper cultural context as well).
