they're all story-based. Just make sure you do all the side quests and you'll get them all in two goes.
Except for the Fortune Teller. You have to spend alot of money in her shop in order to unlock her scene which makes it really easy to miss

I Found out that the problem is because of the newest GPU driver update. So I rolled back to use stable GPU ( download from Gigabyte website ). The stuttering is disappeared. Thanks god that I can play the game normally now :D

I have the japanese language pack installed and I try to open the game with the locale app but I get a "violation access" error of the ini.bin file. Any clues what am I doing wrong? εικόνα_2025-04-08_002125423.png

Is there a way to put this game in a custom resolution in windowed mode, such as 1024*720?

It's genuinely impressive to me how these companies won't just do the smart thing and add these games to steam and make them easily available to everyone. I tried downloading both this and the prequel, the prequel giving me a 4-random-symbol-error I could never figure out, and this one blaring something about direct x, which is an automatic update on windows 11. I would easily pay to not have to deal with this nonsense, and I bet so would most everyone else. Do Japanese companies not like money?

They don't want to get tangles in the US's bullshit, which is getting worse and worse the more time pass.

To be clear, I'm not saying that this is the reason, but it definitely is a reason.

In the case of Eushully, their way of thinking is seriously insular and circular af. They see the rest of us (aka, those of us who live outside of Japan) as a bunch of pirates and other unpleasant things. Some of us even approached them over the years (afaict, basically after Kamidori released) offering to help bring their games to various sections of the global audience, but they've consistently refused on grounds like the reason described above.

Some staff have even left Eushully and tried their own hand at global releases, like those who formed Animal Herb (Yano plus some other ex-Amayui staff), and did fairly well.

Compare that with a company like Alicesoft, another old guard, which has at least released some of their works on a global scale. Despite some troubles, they still do (Rance 03 came out recently, for example).

TL;DR: No, Eushully is just very old-fashioned in their way of thinking. While you may be right that U.S. bullshit is a contributing reason, it doesn't appear to be the core reason why.

Would you guys say this is better or worse or equal to the previous game? Currently on chapter 5 in Castle Meister but there doesn't seem to be much romance with the other characters which is unfortunate. (Only two Mikeyu and Ior scenes ???) Is the story a little more interesting also? Or is it just more of what we've seen? I'm enjoying Castle but the stories a little boring and I kinda wanna just move on to the second game if it has better anything.

This one is a love song to a child. I assume creators recently became parents, so it affected them into making this kind of focus. MC and a certain goddess are somehow parents now, and fawn and adore their child... etc.

A bit worse than previous game, maybe? Kind of more mundane to slog through. Perhaps labyrinth mechanic is to blame. They're kinda as if made by a cookie-cutter, have boringly similar systematic nature... and childish too, more than usual.

(however, I only played this one like 30-50% through, before losing my saves)

The game is more challenging in Chapter 1 and maybe Chapter 2 depending on choices, but is significantly easier afterward.

The game has an interesting skill tree system and characters can basically "equip" magic spells, granting even more flexibility when it comes to usable skills. These features, among others, however, contribute to making the game a lot easier.

The writing is very interesting from a lore perspective if you're into Eushully games and like the in-game universe, since all games take place in said in-game universe. However, the writing imo is otherwise a little worse - it lacks the tension and odyssey-like aspects of Castle Meister and you're forced into a specific route on the first playthrough. Side quests in particular are also much less interesting and have especially boring dungeon design.

Sex scenes happen sooner, but each character still only has a handful of them. The cast is larger, so this is expected.

The game's still fun, but Castle Meister is better imo.

I see, I'll have to give it another try then. Every time I've run that stage I got stuck and couldn't figure out how to progress. If it doesn't require the key then there's something else I'm missing.

Update: Ah, I got it now. This whole time I've been blind and didn't read that it required Amber to complete. Thanks for your help.

On a related note, full gallery save attached for anyone that wants it, although I would recommend playing through the game as it's pretty fun.
