TL;DR:

First version of amity park captured the style from the original animated serie and that would actually make the game more immersive and appealable for whoever watched the serie.

Now this redux version took away that factor by reworking the characters to look nothing close to the original series and instead they look either too anime-ish or totally not something people was looking for to play with after the update announcement.

Don't get me wrong, this new artstyle looks ok and is not ugly at all! is just that they took away that factor of seeing the characters looking like in the TV series which kills off the mood when playing this

Edit: A good game example its this one called Ben X Slave Quest see how the devs working on this captured the essence of the art making it look a like to the TV show. this is the concept people will look for!

Or even Something Unlimited which totally resembles to the DC superheroes from Young Justice! so yeah if they want to move forward on this redux version its their choice, but in my honest opinion is not a game i wont be looking forward to have interest due the changes are not that good

This seems to be a good solution: my compliments! there is no way in heaven or hell everyone can be satisfied with a game project this big, but give people the option to choose and you get mighty close.

The problem with that solution is that there won't be any 'old-style' art from ep. 8 and beyond. Everything after redux will be with the new art.

And with that you essentially double the work of the artist, if they sould go that route. So I even if I would prefer that solution, making to art versions of the game seems impossible.

Does someone have maybe pictures of the other girls with the new art style? I woul like to see all of them, if possible.
But I'm torn, like the others said the art style is nice in it's own, but the cartoon style of the show is lost with it.

sorry to basically parrot myself but im goin to use your comment as a kinda 'official statment' for myself on it, not gonna try speakin for everyone but anyone can feel free to like/heart my comment if ive summed up your thoughts well enough as well to show you agree with me or leave a sad face/facepalm on my comment if you disagree.

a parody, at least in my opinion, is best when the art style, character/world design, and writing is as close as it can be to how the series youre parodying can be because, at least in my case, like it should feel like you could believe it would be something right out of an alternate timeline in the actual series...you know if it werent a kid show in this case, if that makes sense. im not playin a parody for mindless fap material im playin it to immerse myself in a porn game based on something i love...and to fap to it of course.

the issue here is the art before was fairly different from the show, even goin as far as replacing poor sams perky pyramid tits with 'normal' ones, but despite that it was still pretty close to the show. the character designs where still accurate and the art style close enough to get by as a "well as guess this is as close as itll get with a parody but at least its close" but this new style doesnt resemble the shows art style at all, as someones pointed out before its like some anime style, and that just doesnt work here cause of how different it is to the shows style, at least in my opinion it doesnt. not to mention based on the teaser of paulina the characters designs are barely recognizable as themselves which, in my opinion, takes a lot away from the immersion and experience.

ill also remention that i believe the style shouldnt have been changed here and instead should have been saved for the next project for a series that already has a style similar or better a completely original game so the art can draw the audience itself and not have the draw back of bringing hate cause its too different from the source like would happen with most parodies using it

tldr: while the art style before wasnt the same as the show it was 'close enough' but the new art style is way too different and doesnt feel like its related to the show at all and the character design changes make them basely recognizable anymore and this new srt style and character design style should have been saved for a project that would better fit it in my opinion

as a side note ive seen arguments made that "the shows style isnt good for porn cause its not hot" and 1. thats just untrue, ive seen plenty examples to prove the shows style can be hot and 2. in my opinion a 'good' parody uses the series style and makes minimal adjustments to make it hot, like said examples ive seen, some of which have been posted here even, and if someone is actually a fan of the series and lookin for a porn game its my strong belief that they would like the tweaked show style just as much if not more then the 'sexified' anime version the new art style looks like

For more examples of really good parody art/animation that resembles the shows, just look to Four Elements Trainer, Re:Hero, Jikage Rising, Kunoichi Trainer, Overlord H, 18Titans, and even EroEro No Mi (although the colors aren't bright or something but the girls do look like the One Piece girls). Those did it the same way Amity Park did in previous builds, which is what I think it should have stayed. Of course, that's my opinion.

It's pretty simple.
Cartoon characters have to stay cartoonish sure you can give them bigger boobs, booty, longer legs or provocative clothes if your goal is to make them sexier but why change what makes the characters distinctive, the damn face namely, especially if the point of the game is to be a parody of Danny Phantom.

Was completely unnecessary to hire someone who can't duplicate the art of the show, not even close.

Imagine DarkCookie wouldn't draw Summertime Saga anymore but instead someone replaced his drawings with something that looks off.

Here is a portfolio of different artists who made Maddie sexier (but she still looks like the mother of the protagonist) that's how the redux should be.

DP was most likely created using Adobe Flash or Toon Boom instead of any kind of hand drawn artwork. It looks like Paula was drawn using a spline tool and oval tools for the eyes. The triangle tits were done because it was quick and cheap. There are a lot of straight lines in DP characters, again I'm guessing for cost.

google small pointy tits, a lot of them do have a triangular shape, it is natural especially for girls who are still growing/late bloomers like you could expect for high school girls. i know in the show the pyramid tits were to keep art simple but sam always had small breasts so even messing with the designs to make them 'sexier' or 'more realistic' it still would have fit more for same to keep the pointy tits, thats why i single her out and didnt complain about it with characters like paulina cause with her more 'normal' rounded breasts just make sense but not for sam hence why i comment about her specifically

Four years is a hell of a long time to have a growth spurt, and I would MUCH rather think about them as being actually 18 in this world, and things are happening 4 years later than in the show, than to think we are just "pretending" to get around the age restrictions. I greatly appreciate the fact that they do not look almost prepubescent. I really don't want to play something like that, it is one of the things I always hated about the Japanese VNs, the mandatory loli character.

Sure, they could be someone who didn't develop much, it does happen a lot, but that wasn't how they envisioned them being 4 years older here...

I did it as you suggested and in my opinion, the majority of those tits look horrible. I've never met a girl with natural tits like that and personally, not to be mean to any girls who's tits are like that, I wouldn't want my girl to be like that. I'll take the way they did Sam's tits with them small over the pointy ones like that.

That could be the reason, or maybe someone just didn't want to make a game about 14 year old kids anyway. This is not the same as a Japanese VN ported over here, where they take the obviously 13-14 year old kid 18, no matter how dumb it seems in context.

We have no idea what her breasts will look like, other than the sprites they always had. We have seen one image from one scene, and it was not her.
In the show, she was flat as a board, in this, she always had decent sized tits for her body size, a good B cup or so. They were only a little smaller than Paulina's for the sprites.

I mean, this is what they looked like before, if you have forgotten... they were neither tiny, nor pointy.
