Yes no matter what you choose Alexandra will always be the biological mother to Kate and Elena, and you will be a blended family as your father treats both of them as his own and Alexandra taking you in as her own as well. You all live together with Alexandra and your father being in a relationship. So yeah step family by living together but not married. She even wears a ring in his memory.
It's only really present from what I remember in that one dialogue about the father so you could just never choose that during the intro or ignore it. Not the best solution but it's they way the Dev wrote the story unfortunately. Unless someone creates a mod for a single conversation and releases it.

you can change that too. there could be some scenes where mc is called stepson.

I've played this game before and did liked it. But after this new update there is for sure less content than before. Like some ppl said, there is definitely missing a lot of Iris content and few chunks of other side characters parts. So, I've deleted this game for now and I'll wait for at least 2 updates to see if the dev got his shit together or not. I'm fed up with all this Steam revised games where you have to replay everything from start only to find out that you're now playing stripped out version of the old game.

And that why I asked about that particularly IC patch. Because the IC patch change every relationship to full on Incest no step family anymore. I even capmared it to the OG version.

Yeah it doesn't change it from setting relationships in the options panel for all of the game, At least most of it is contained in the dialogue for Asking about your father. It's coding directly into the dialogue of asking Alexandra about your father as it doesn't use those setting for much except a section that is there to basically say whatever you set it as is wrong. Not a full transcript but snippets of it from the code.

It is a lot in that particular dialogue about the father but it seems to not permeate too much outside of it. So your best bet if it pulls you out of the story is to just avoid that question for now.

There is a patch for the dialogue on the pages back - it's called Amnesia Ipatch - should be able to find it with the search function.

Hi. Unfortunately, I can't get any further in the game. I'm supposed to repair Elena's laptop, but I can't get into her room during the day. There's always a lock on it. Does anyone have an answer?

I do wonder if Suoer Alex will keep Alexandra's dubious profession in the remake. The original strongly implied that she's a stripper/prostitute and that's how the family got by without MC and his dad, and how they kept their big house.
She goes to work in slutty dresses, and refuses to elaborate on her job when asked, and kept dodging questions about it until the end of the original. If you dig through her phone, there are nudepictures in what appears to be clubs and hotels. There's also the stripper heels you find in her closet, and her "coworker" that visits her is clearly a stripper/hooker.
It's a good sign that Alex is already planting NTR signs in the remake, as I really hope Alexandra is a stripper/prostitute, and makes her story so much more interesting, especially if the MC previously "corrupted" her and turned her out like the game is implying.

This is one of my two "Gameplays"
I did one for the "Loyalty/Love" Route, and this one for the "Loyalty/Dominant" Route.
They consist of some .txt files and some "end of version" saves.
It does not include a "Gallery unlocker"
There is one on the Opening Page, but it is NOT meant for the "REMASTERED" versions of the game.
