Your condescending comment is highly amusing to me because
1. You apparently lack the brain capacity to read the notice on the main post that explicitly says this is not a novel and not meant to be taken particularly seriously.
2. This is not a Japanese game and does not claim to be an AVN anywhere.
3. This is a video game as it has interactive elements and exists in a digital format.
4. For someone who thinks he's clearly so very intelligent, it's amusing you failed to use "too" when you should have and used the wrong version of "they're."
And finally,
5. This is a pirate site that exists to pirate porn games. Given that it probably wouldn't exist if porn games didn't exist, I think it's pretty accurate to call this a porn site. Any argument against this is just a pointless question of semantics.

The developer deserves all the credit in the world for making a game he wants to make while asking for 0 financial support in return. He's very clear in the OP about what this game is and what to expect from it, and if you have some problem with it then that's on you. What you're doing now is like walking into a steakhouse and being unhappy that they serve primarily steaks.

I hope the dev doesn't get discouraged from comments like yours and keeps on working on this project.
Lol we've got a full blown redditor in here. Man is criticising, fairly, an inconsistent game. This update is terrible and spits in the face of what we were meant to believe this game would be. Don't get high and mighty, no one cares. As mentioned, this is an opinion space, not a debate forum to put people down.

And regarding the dev, people will always be overly critical and that is something that should be expected from a bunch of terminally-online coomers. But this is criticism that should be taken on board - yes, you are doing this for free but many people (including myself at one stage) were eager and willing to pay you for your time, which you declined. So the fact that this is "free" really doesn't have any bearing on whether or not this work deserves to be criticised.

My opinion on this update, and won't review out of respect for you and the time you've put in, is that it is deeply disappointing and all over the place. A very strange, leap from before and honestly feels like the previous versions of the game indicated a very different direction. Not too late - you can rewrite and improve the story flow - but as of now its not good.

v0.6.6 is a great update and it features the best sex scene of the game. Guys have been waiting for this very moment for years now, when Angel finally gets...

However, there's one thing I do not like: the naive- and the adventure-paths are too similar!

The whole point of the adventure-path should be Angel does things by her own free will, and not because someone takes advantage of her. The story on this path should progress to a point she does no longer deny her desires, but acts upon them. Deliberately deciding she is a bad girl and loves to be naughty.

Actually, the night after day 4 could have been / could be the optimal moment for her to make up her mind. Having a dream about the events of the day, but in variations where she acts far, far more boldly. Angel realizes it turns her on.

Oh so it seems my grammar was more annoying to you than the actual topic, Did you know a lack of grammar does not mean a lack of intelligence.
Let's go off topic a bit and let me re-educate you on the basic differences between an AVN/VN and video games.
1.INTERACTIVITY.
AVN/VN = Minimal, Primarily limited to making choices in dialogue or at key branching points to influence the narrative.
VIDEO GAME = High, Involving a wide range of mechanics like exploration, puzzle-solving, combat, character progression, and real time action.
2. CORE FOCUS.
AVN/VN = Narrative and emotional engagement, essentially an interactive story with multimedia elements(text,static/animated images, video acting)
VIDEO GAME = Gameplay mechanics and challenges, with the narrative often serving to support the gameplay.
3. GAMEPLAY.
AVN/VN = often described as interactive books/comics or choose your own adventure/path stories, Minimal to to no traditional gameplay in many cases.
VIDEO GAMES = Diverse, including action, strategy, role-playing, simulation, sports, requiring various skills like reflexes, logical thinking or resource management.
4. CONTENT.
AVN/VN = The "ADULT" in AVN specifically refers to sexually explicit or MATURE content, which is common, though not a universal feature of the genre.
VIDEO GAMES = Content varies widely by genre and rating, Adult content is not a defining characteristic of video games.
5. PRESENTATION.
AVN/VN = Typically uses a first-person perspective( can be third person) with static or sprite-based visuals(limited animation) mainly in 2D bit can be in 3d, over a background.
VIDEO GAMES = Highly variable presentation, Including 2D/3D graphics, Various camera perspectives(first person, third person, top-down) and EXSTENSIVE animation and enviromental interaction.

Following by the basic foundations of an AVN/VN and Video games it is factually correct that this game/story is in fact an ADULT VISUAL NOVEL, But following your logic is like a car manufacturer making a new car but telling you it is not a car, So yes this is a novel regardless of what the creator states.

Now back to topic of my comment and the fact you think i stated this is a Japanese game, When in fact i stated that AVN's were a japanese invention, You can call me as brainless as you like because i really could not give a shit, You pointed out that this is a pirate site, but you lack reasoning on it being a pirate porn site, you forget that not all AVN's or VN's concentrate on sex, there are novels with no sex in them on this site, so your reasonig for this being a porn site falls flat, as for my opinion/comment that you dislike, it has merrit since this novel is completely full of inconsistencies, and a lot of the choices you are given have zero affect on the narrative, you are forced into slut making regardless of your choices. either define the different paths so the given choices make sence an actually influence the narrative ior make it a shitty kinetic/linear novel

I didn't see any of them saying this is piracy.
I was 99.9% joking, but I fully understand and know about your point. There is a lot of benefit to releasing a game on F95 for the sheer amount of traffic and feedback a dev can receive (even if a lot of the feedback is full of ungrateful judgmental assholes that couldn't put a game together themselves if they tried). The traffic alone in and of itself is very valuable (and therefore a dev releasing their game on this site shouldn't actually be considered piracy), hence the reason why I was being sarcastic and laughed at the end of my comment ;)

This game should be more popular, because other games like this, (are) not even this good
Thank you, despite this thread having over a half a million views, this game has been buried for several reasons, the main reason being is the limited time I have to work on this game. Many have left thinking it was abandoned, many simply just forget about it until the next update because of how long it takes me to update. There are a handful that have stuck around and interact in this thread and those I consider my true followers. There are even a few that I message almost weekly and collaborate on the development that I am very grateful for and appreciate dearly.

That being said, I can't blame anyone for this game not being as popular because I myself have admitted to the limitations I have with not only time, but my amateur level of coding/writing/rendering. If I wasn't so passionate about completing this game, then it would have fallen off just like many other games have before. I suspect(ed) many believe that would have and/or will be the case here, so the following just doesn't seem justified for many, and understandably so given what I mentioned. However, as time goes on, I've been able to find more time and privacy to work on this game. Now, it's just a matter of motivation, and with other things going on in my life that take priority, that motivation comes and goes in waves.

Maybe one good strategy is releasing smaller updates more often for a while so the game is on the first page more often and gets a good moment when not a lot of other games are added, so more people will give it a chance.
I've thought about that. So you're suggesting update the game every time I add a new scene? Or if it's a short scene, then update after two new scenes? That would almost feel like cheating, not sure the F95 mods would allow that to be considered a true update.

If I were to start a subscribestar, then the motivation would return a lot. There's still a lot of work to be done ahead, and to be honest, the next update needs a coding overhaul, which will take a lot of time without any real progress in the game, just cleaning up the old code and making it more efficient. I also need to clean up the inconsistencies, especially on the Pure Path. This will also take a lot of time without any forward progress. I would hate to start taking in money while doing this, so I think I'll wait on that.

Check the definition of "novel". This is not a novel. Novels are literature, VN are video games. But anyway, there are porn novels too, lots of them.
the basic differences between an AVN/VN and video games.

99.9% of all content on this site are digital novels(AVN's or Visual novels) and not a video game, they are short literature novels with pictures and maybe some animation if you are lucky, It is a digital novel, hence the focus on a script or a written narrative you read to progress through the novel. You may want to call them video games because it fits your narrative, and you may want to call them pornography because you lack understanding, To use terms like video game or pornography is rather missleading since both terms cover an extensive and broad range.
A visual novel has similarities to a video game, but it is not a video game.

You speak the truth here, and I agree!

I've never said I don't appreciate the criticism, in fact quite the opposite. I do appreciate the criticism and reply with thanks and I graciously try to overlook the way it is delivered and focus on the key element of the criticism. All I point out at times is that the delivery could be less hateful and/or loaded with their own expectations that are more fit for a team of professional developers rather than a single dev with limited time and no pay. Everyone wants to tell me how to make my game, and that's their opinion, but at the end of the day, they can either go make their own game in their image or move on to something else if they don't like it. That is the way of the world and I am okay with that.

I'm assuming this leap you are referring to is the previous slow burn approach to the now full speed ahead approach? I get it, and I did originally have the slow burn approach in mind when I began this game. That all changed after things in my life prevented me from being able to spend all day working on this and so I had to make the choice to speed things up and get to the "good stuff" sooner rather than later. This is also the reason for the "porn-logic" style story. I don't have time to do what a lot of people like and or hoped for, as in a slow burn story driven emotion inducing game with every choice branching into different directions.

I had to make the choice to do it this way, my life and the time I had to put into this game forced it in this direction. But I also know that there are plenty of those who do like this faster pace, that do like the "porn-logic" sex driven story. Probably a lot more than the slow burn types, but they are just much less vocal about it.
