Maybe the term you're thinking of isn't stable, but perhaps she's the closest to a "Mary Sue", assuming you sided with Isabelle over Kate.

No no, you misunderstood. I mean she is the only one "stable" , there will nothing wrong that make the world weird if you only go " Love routes" with her ( not the Lust routes). It likely you active something in the system: routes default: Isabella( Love), routes default - system affected: Isabella ( Lust), routes queen : Kate, routes queen - system affected: Kate ( Lust), etc..
Isabella not "weird" , she was "development" to do thing with anger issue, things just go weird when you did some thing that not suppose to happen in the system routes.
All of this make I think she is the one, or one of, that text him in verry start, clear his memories about the Test or whatever that bring back to time. But I think morelikely they controlled his dream. Let he dream the good life with Isabella ( the one who as know as not appear in his school life). And that why his dream always weird and feel real, some dream even effect to his "real life" , 'cause he was dream in dream.
And all of that just my hypothesis, maybe his world was already crazy before the text and all things in game is Canon

Now that I'm thinking about Isabelle, I'm inclined to believe she's some sort of entity put there in the game Mrs. L and Mer are playing.
There's the glaring fact that she's not from the original "timeline", how Mrs. L orders the mc to give her a tour, thus pushing the both of them together, how she acts strange when around the influence of Mrs. L, her number having 666 in it and the strange silhouette watching her when the mc makes it official with her.
Now, I don't really have any conclusive evidence to make a judegement, but basing on the facts as they're now, I believe she's either another soul in this "limbo" the mc finds himself in, or some test for the mc. This would explain the choice as to how far do you make her and the mc go for revenge.
But that's just a theory! A (Erotic Western)Game Theory!

Blonde girl shows constant memory loss, dizziness, loss of balance, nearly dies tripping on school steps, and MC's solution to that is to play piano and inviting her to his house?
Then you finish the locker stealing quest and she's awarded a faceslap to further improve her dementia?

Besides, the two don't correlate. Isabelle couldn't give a fuck less about extenuating circumstance. She's not out to cure her. She has a complex about bullies' persecution and Lindsay is griefing her for some reason.

I wouldn't know. In my MC's canon there's 100% less worm & watermelon. That's after the divide between Lindsey/Maxine's route. The only thing I lack for there is Jacklyn's Helping Hand...y.

For that, I just load the game up in the Ren'Py development kit as a Ren'Py project and click "Generate translations". It hands me a bunch of files containing translate statements for every say-statement in the game; from these I can pick out the relevant fragments for the few lines I'm actually "translating".

She's the sort of person I avoid, so I'm biased, but here are my thoughts:
I don't think Isabelle is in the same limbo as the MC because she gets a bit too surprised at someone (Mer or Mrs. L) watching her in the boyfriend's scene.

Instead I think she was sent from England to Newfall for the same reason as Jacklyn was made the arts teacher; it's so the MC has more girls around him. It helps both sides; their bet is probably something like "if you had a second chance, would you use it for lust [Mrs. L] or love [Mer]?" For Mrs. L it's more women the MC can chase, for Mer it's better odds to find his true love.

I also think they picked Isabelle instead of someone else because, no matter how bad this timeline became, Isabelle's life wouldn't be worse than in the original timeline. I think she died, or went to jail for murder, or something like this.
