Hmmm... You mean homonyms ?You often may need to find a single word that represents multiple concepts.
There's no wasted time when you write. If you're stuck for minutes on a single word, then it mean that you aren't ready to write this part. You still don't know what it's supposed to mean, how it's supposed to be said, how it's supposed to feel, and how it insert in the story. You no longer have to waste x amount of minutes on stuff like that.
But you made the assertion that you could show 398490238402384 ways AI is useful? You must adduce evidence of your assertion especially that such advice could aid developers and would be developers everywhere, surely you don't want them to think less of you by not being able to name more ways it could help?Your turn. Tell me how you use the AI to help you save time. Then we'll trade knowledge.
Wait, what ?LOL, 5 years of game development. I WISH.
I don't say this lightly. I agree with everything said here, but I still want to investigate how AI could save me time.Hmmm... You mean homonyms ?
Wait, forget about my question, what you mean doesn't matters. What matters is that, if you need an AI to find a word for you, 75% of the players will not understand you. You'll just looks pedantic and your writing will feel totally superficial.
This doesn't mean that you've to limits to basic words, but there's a reason why Hemingway is way more known and read than anyone who received a Nobel Prize in Literature.
There's no wasted time when you write. If you're stuck for minutes on a single word, then it mean that you aren't ready to write this part. You still don't know what it's supposed to mean, how it's supposed to be said, how it's supposed to feel, and how it insert in the story.
Not that writing is something instantaneous. Even when it's natural for you, you'll have to go back on what you wrote, to smooth it and to correct it until it fit the character and context. But still the draft you'll correct should come naturally. When you write, you do not invent, you are a witness that testify about events that happened. You know how to describe the scene, because when you close your eyes you see it. You know what everyone will say, because you heard it.
Of course, this doesn't meant that you can't write about totally fictional events. It just mean that the events are in your mind, as fresh and vivid than a memory you'll never be able to forget.
Everything is already in you, you are just the vessel that will make it available to the public. I don't remember who, I think it's Ray Bradbury but don't quote me on this, said once that when he starts writing he can't stop, because he's as curious as the future readers to know what will happen next.
And it's what writing is. You don't invent, you even less search for a fucking really precise word (well, unless you don't write in your natural language, yet then you still know the word in your said natural language). Everything is coming to you.
And if later, when you'll be correcting your draft, you've to rely on an AI to find a word, then you don't know your story, you don't know your characters. And, by extension, you just shouldn't write.
That's not wasted time. You learn. You improve your grasp on the concepts you want to represent. You chew the words and concepts over until you have a combination conveying what you want to in the way you want to. You improve both as a writer and as a person. You often may need to find a single word that represents multiple concepts. Searching for that manually yourself is a waste of time. The AI can do it for you much faster, practically instantly. You no longer have to waste x amount of minutes on stuff like that. The AI assistant will do it for you. You can have the AI help you with thesaurus stuff, but you can add context to what alt words you want based on genre;fantasy,scifi-give the AI a theme, ask for multiple words, or just single word.
Yeah, do it man!Lots of good feedback, guys, do you think a porn game dev should disclose to his patreons to what extent he's using an AI to write the story? Would it be unethical to not disclose that information? Hmmm. I've been programming for too long, so my brain has long been fried, but had to ask.
IMO, the AI can write a better story than 98% of the games on this website.Yeah, do it man!
Let AI write the story and conversations for your VN today.
Let AI create a visual for you tomorrow.
Then start a Patreon, tag yourself "game developer" and ask people for money for your game. I'm sure you will be a successful developer... WTF![]()
Thank you, I think this is precisely what I've been looking for. Let's see what this bad boy can do.KoboldAI is an offline ai smut/novel tool, if you're still looking for one of those.
Still waiting for backing up of the claim...But you made the assertion that you could show 398490238402384 ways AI is useful? You must adduce evidence of your assertion especially that such advice could aid developers and would be developers everywhere, surely you don't want them to think less of you by not being able to name more ways it could help?
I believe in you, you can continue...
Please provide sources for your claim.Everyone needs AI assistance now a days and it's nothing wrong .
Please provide sources for your claim.everyone's doing the same thing with gpt lol.
Please provide sources for your claim.the dev
Who said that?IMO, the AI can write a better story than 98% of the games on this website.
Normally I would agree with you, but considering how OP expressed in previous threads how he believes everyone should be as critical and unreasonable as they can towards devs, then the responses he received are very onpoint.Funny how the dev has mentioned that he wants help of AI and needs assistance and not AI doing his whole work.
Must also be noted that regulars waited five days, and a legit answer, before starting to post.Normally I would agree with you, but considering how OP expressed in previous threads how he believes everyone should be as critical and unreasonable as they can towards devs, then the responses he received are very onpoint.
Totally this.Plenty of people that are insecure about their own work might end up resorting to AI to polish things, however what many don't consider is that they might end up polishing away all the good stuff in exchage for some generic result that loses all charm and originality because afterall that's what AIs are trained for, normalization, noise removal, but sometimes that noise is exactly where the gems are.
I would be quite interested in the reason why someone should behave like that, even though I personally consider it more of a mental problem.Normally I would agree with you, but considering how OP expressed in previous threads how he believes everyone should be as critical and unreasonable as they can towards devs, then the responses he received are very onpoint.
