Well I am okay with him taking all his time for the game release....but the only thing that worries me is that if it's taking him a year to put out just the first release, how long will he take to make the regular updates. Will he have to wait a year each between each update? That is what I fear.

May be this guy wants to release this damn game in 2021 Dec along with Avatar movie sequels.
Even the most fantastic game Ton giving upadates for every two weeks.

I believe in this Dev. Seems like he is just an overachiever. I personally think hes last game had great quality, he seems to think it was low effort. Looks like he may be making all Renders in 4k now? Seems pretty clear most of hes work is over Full HD. That takes time. Plus does he say he has done 100 animations?
Basically.. like with CD Projekt Red and theyr delays we must accept that quality Art takes time.
Meanwhile you could just go and consume fast food comparable to what Ubisoft delivers.

I know it takes manpower and an awesome rig to pull off the load. But when there's a community that's ready to pay dollars to see your art, why not just hire a few guys and upgrade your rig and get shit done?
This is the same problem with AWAM dev. His content is top notch, he's earning so much money, all we ever asked was him to hire another guy to produce faster updates. He agreed and promised he'll do if he reached a patreon goal, and then he reached it, but never kept his word! He's still working alone and pushing out updates every 3 month!
Some devs are seriously annoying! NLT is the only dev i know who respects punctuality.

1- Cause more devs are less money for him.
2- Cuz that guy is a milker, he lied and people keep giving him money, he doesn't need to deliver. His game has been in development for three years now, and there is no sex at all.
3- Evakiss and some others deliver every month, but that's rare among Patreon porn devs.

Chaixas Games has put out content every month for years, including several months where he was making two games at once and put out content for both games. There are devs that do things in a more professional manner for sure, although for many it's more of a hobby. That's just the way many of these games are made.

Hard to hire a guy when your patreon is less than 1k a month...which doesnt even start to cover assets for a new game at times...and punctuality? I know more than a few who put out quite a bit of content in appropriate levels of time. NLT is a great dev, but you can get away with bi-monthy releases when they are sandbox/linear and relatively short. If you put the amount of content against, say a Philly or DPC, over their 2-3 month style story releases, you might be surprised.
NLT won't miss releases because he is back loaded with content. The 6/1 schedule release is already completed...he stays one ahead to keep pace. It's a good way to do it.
Your comment about this "community" being ready to pay dollars to see art is a chicken/egg discussion and kinda laughable here to be honest. I wouldn't stick my neck out for that happening....and neither should devs.

Trust the Guy. Just take Time and read all his explication about story if His game. Thats Guy got vision and got talent in his graphism and writing. He was topnotch in darkN and he Said he underestimate his work.
